I was trying to figure out what the acronym ADAM stood for. I was thinking Adolesent Dispearance... Or the M was minor.

Oh, just thought of a good one... A Dear Adolesent Missing! Haha!

They've found one of them...

I've known about Amber Alerts as long as I can remember..my parents were honest with us about what they were. I didn't know about Code Adam/Yellow until I was like 15 because DH worked at Lowes and they have a procedure for them there. It's after the guy from America's Most Wanted..his son was abducted in a store when he wandered off from his mom and killed.

I've known about Amber alerts for a long time. Never heard of the code yellow/Adam alert, but I've never worked in a store. I had also never heard of a Silver alert (for missing seniors or mentally disabled adults) until I was driving in North Carolina a few years ago and there were signs for it. My state doesn't do Silver alerts.

I learned about Amber Alert when they first introduced it. I remember it being on the news. Code Adam I learned working at Walmart in university. We used it in the store for lost kids.

@hellocupcake: @deerylou: @autumnlove: I got the same alert just now about the blue nissan. This is the first time I've ever gotten it on my phone. I didn't even know they could do that.

I think I learned about amber alert when it went into effect. Either that from seeing an alert on a road sign while driving. I've never heard of code adam before.
