An everyday bracelet?

I have been searching for a while for an everyday bracelet. I've considered a Links of London sweetie bracelet, a Pandora bracelet (especially now that they have a bangle), a couple of Alex and Ani bangles, and a few others. None have really resonated with me.

I'd love for it to be a hinged bangle because I want it to fit closely to my wrist but still be a fixed shape (not a chain that is flexible). I'd also love for it to be sterling silver or another durable metal so that I could wear it every day. I'm all about signature jewelry, and a bracelet is the only thing I don't have. (the only non-signature thing I wear daily is a watch-- I like variety there!)

Any ideas, or something you have that you love??

I really want a Yurman cuff. Hubs just bought me some really nice Yurman drop earrings for xmas and I'm itching to get the matching cuff ; )

But my IL's gave me 3 Alex and Ani bracelets for Christmas and I am liking those for now.

Oh interesting idea! What are your other signature pieces?

I have two David Yurman bangles...one is gold tipped (wedding gift), the other is blue topaz (my son's birthstone). I plan to add a thrid one, but I am undecided about the color of the stone.

I also have a charm bracelet from Thomas Sabo, big in Europe.

I can't stand to have anything on my wrists, but my SIL wears an ionic bracelet that I love (she doesn't wear it for the alleged health benefits, but D's Gram gave it to her, and she likes the look).

@looch: that's the problem... my other signature pieces have diamonds, and I don't really want something with diamonds for a bracelet... that's a bit much!! I wear diamond stud earrings every day, a bezel set solitaire pendant, and my engagement/wedding/anniversary rings every day. They're all white gold, but I'm not against mixing metals!

@MamaMoose: @looch: I have never actually tried on anything David Yurman... maybe I will have to check it out!

@lovehoneybee: any idea of what it looks like? My mom wears ionic bracelets too, but they all look like regular beaded bracelets.

@mrs. wagon: I don't think you need diamonds on the bracelet, if you're wearing other diamonds.

I like the mixed metals, in fact, my watch is mixed metals (stainless and gold) and so are the rings I wear on my right hand (white gold engagement ring with diamonds, gold stacking rings with tiny diamonds).

I am partial to the DY collections that are mixed metals. I own several pieces (earrings, pendant, bracelet) that are mixed sterling and gold.

I wanted to get into Alex and Ani because they're huge here, but I felt they were too pricey to acheive the look I wanted.

@mrs. wagon: How about a "Cape Cod" bracelet? I love mine! It's silver and gold and fits close to the wrist. It's a pain to get on and off, but I never take it off, so that's not a problem. I have been wearing it for 4 years and at this point, I don't even feel it anymore.

DD has a mini one, which is flipping adorable.

@looch: a friend of mine has a rubedo (pink gold) bangle from Tiffany's and it is so gorgeous. But I don't think they do a hinged bangle. I have tried to get into Alex and Ani, but I don't like how they slide up and down the arm... which is why I think I need a more fitted bracelet.

@septca: this is quite interesting as well, especially since I live near the Cape and grew up going there every year! Although I feel a little weird not getting it *from* the Cape since I'm right there. Maybe I'll wait til the summer and get it from there!

@septca: @mrs. wagon: was going to suggest the same thing! Um helloooo, you're from MA, I thought they were required! I've had mine (from the original Eden shop in Dennis) and haven't taken it off for more than a few hours since probably 1999.

@mrs. wagon: and @Shutterbug: TOTALLY agree that you have to get it there. My MIL got mine for me - she measured my wrist with a piece of ribbon and took it to the shop. DD's she just bought a baby size (who knew?) and suggested she use it as a key ring when she gets older. Hilarious.

I wear several Ronaldo bracelets on my right arm. They are dainty and go with everything. I wear a waxing poetic bangle with a J charm on my left wrist with my watch !

@mrs. wagon: Maybe you need to make a winter day trip? I'll bet it's deserted this time of year (versus the summer, when you have to stand in line). I could seriously go for a lobster roll at 3Cs and a jewelry shopping trip right now...

Third vote for Cape Cod bracelet. I'm actually not a huge jewelry person but I love mine (got it in Dennis!! ) and wear it every day. I haven't taken it off in 5 years. I even wore it on my wedding day. Love the simplicity and mixed metals.

The Cape Cod bracelet is a great idea. I recently started mixing metals but I wear two Alex & Ani bracelets and my Tiffany bead bracelet everyday.

For a cheaper option, I like my Swarovski Fidelity bracelet. I have the gold one and I wear it every day but I also mix metals. It comes in silver too. I think they are gold plated, but I've been wearing mine two years and wash bottles and everything wearing it and it still looks nice.
