I think the design of the dress is very practical. She's had breast reconstruction and I think on her wedding day with her many kids, she didn't want to be thinking about her dress staying up in a strapless or being too exposed. I think a super plain dress with a ball gown was the only way to get all her kids drawings on the dress, if that was the main feature she wanted to highlight. And it seems like the kind of princess dress her daughters would have thought was pretty at their age. It looks very comfortable to wear and lightweight and I think it fits the parameters of her wedding goals.

Aw the drawings on the veil is really sweet - that will be something to cherish for sure. The dress kindof looks like a nightgown though.. but I like that it isn't over the top!
