DH and I are celebrating our anniversary on Saturday! My mom offered to babysit for us for the day, and even said she would keep the girls overnight. We are on a pretty limited budget ($100 or less), but want to make the day fun and enjoyable too. I thought of maybe going out for a reasonably priced dinner, maybe a drink or two...but not sure that will last the entire day, I don't want to end up bored by 7:00pm 
What did you do for your last anniversary? Bonus if it was budget friendly!

Our last anniversary we went out to a nice dinner and got a hotel room at the Chase. It was summer and a weirdly cool night so we did drinks on the patio by the pool. It was so nice to just sit outside, get away, and get some fresh air and have a few drinks.

We just celebrated our this past weekend. We went and looked at tile (sans LO) for the bathroom remodel in 2015. So much easier with LO trying to pick up tiles and break them. Then we used points (DH travels pretty much every week) and we stayed at a hotel. We took a nap, went to dinner. Then came back and had a drink by the fire pit outside. Then walked to get some dessert. Slept in and went to lunch and then to pick up LO. It was 24 hours of much needed child free time. LO had a blast as well!
Bowling is always fun! We would have done that but there wasn't one by the hotel. We didn't want to drive anywhere.

Our anniversary is next month and we're going away overnight to a casino lol. So romantic 
@Bao: Does Groupon/LivingSocial have deals in your area? You can get really nice multi-course dinners on there for like half the price. They also usually have deals for other outings like bowling, movies, etc.

@lawbee11: those are our regular overnight date nights because FIL gets comped so many points/rooms it's a lot of fun! we went last month and already booked ours for next month!!

We're kind of home bodies/simple so we went on a little hike/picnic, then we went out to dinner & a bookstore & came home, watched TV, read our books, snuggled, slept in & went out for Chinese the next day. We had a really nice time & it reminded me of how much I genuinely enjoy just being with DH. I miss just hanging out with him.

We went to dinner and we were done by 7:15 so we went to a bar near our house for a few drinks!

@autumnlove: That's kind of what my original thought was. I think we may drop the girls off around 3pm though, so that leaves a lot of hours! I need something cheap/fun to fill in the time.

@Bao: I would do a fun early lunch at a bar, then if your mom is keeping them overnight, I would do a pajama couch day. We used to do them prior having a kid, and I soooo want a day to just lounge around in my pajamas with a few beers, junk food and watching movies Happy Anniversary!

If your mom is going to take your LO’s around 3pm – what about doing a nicer than usual late lunch (cheaper than dinner out), and then get a nice bottle of wine or champagne to split and some desserts and have those at home with just some cheese, grapes, crackers and other little snacks in lieu of dinner? Rent a movie and have a quiet date night at home!

$25 desserts, appetizers in lieu of dinner

$100 total

@yoursilverlining: I like the money break down!! We could do lunch too, I'll see what DH thinks! Any good movies out to rent? I'm really not in the loop with that kind of thing.
