I'm thinking of doing something with their wedding picture and lyrics to their song. I've seen different pieces of art made with those things for weddings. Has anyone bought something like that before? Any ideas where to get it? All I can think of is etsy, but there are so many shops there it's overwhelming!

Redbook.com has alot of different ideas. You could do a painting on canvas or maybe an etching on glass? We got my grandparents an etched glass frame for their 60th anniversary.

For their 40th wedding anniversary a few years ago my Dad got one of Mum's favourite artists (http://www.lamornapenrose.co.uk/work/index.html) to paint from a photo of their wedding day. It turned out really well. Maybe you could have a look at some local artists?

That's so nice! My parents are celebrating 40 years this year and I'm trying to figure out what to do for them, as well.

Type the main chorus out in word even, leaving a 4x6 space in the center. Then just print their wedding picture out on photo paper and frame it on a floating frame. -
@illumina: Actually, I am an artist and already made them a big painting from their wedding when I was in college
@mediagirl: It's my parent's 40th too! I'm now deciding between this idea or getting them something OSU because that's where they met. And I think my dad might like the OSU stuff more.....

@artbee: I will try to remember to take a picture tonight because I did something similar for our first (paper) anniversary. I got the frame from Michaels using a 50% off coupon.
I just think something like this is SO easily DIY-able whereas you can easily pay $60+ for it and the frame might not even be as nice!
