I realize I've asked about 50 nap questions in the last month, but bear with me. The past week, my son has gone down for naps in his crib (yay) without being rocked or nursed to sleep. He cries a little before hand but then falls asleep. But, he still only naps 30 minutes. Sometimes he wakes happy and sometimes he wakes up crying. Question - when he wakes up crying, should I leave him? If so, how long? A few times this weeks I've rescued him and plopped him in his swing and what do you know, he falls asleep for another sleep cycle (and once, even 2!) Bad habit. Reminder, he's 4.5 months.
Thanks!
I've tried hovering over him when he wakes up (always crying/cranky) and pat his back, but no cigar! I'm hoping that he will just automatically sleep longer when he gets older. He's 2.5 months old. I hope you get some good feedback! Let me know if you figure out the trick to getting your LO to nap longer!
The only other way to get him to sleep longer was the car. But around 6 months he started to snap out of it. You prob already read it, but I think I posted about this on the blog awhile back.
