DH and I are planning a babymoon! We spent hours last night looking all over at various reviews and we think we've settled on Excellence Riviera Cancun! The place looks amazing, has lots of restaurants, is adults only... basically it crosses off all our requirements. 
The price is also pretty reasonable!
Any bees been to this resort?
If not, did you go on a babymoon? Where did you go?

I went to Excellence Playa Mujeres and, while it's not the same resort, it is the same company. I can't say enough about how amazing our honeymoon was. The food, the atmosphere, omg just awesome! We are looking at going back to one of the Excellence resorts this June!

@Mrs.Panda: Thanks! We looked at the Playa Mujeres location too, but we had to cross it off because it is booked for when we want to go!

Ah, the playa mujeres is the one we've gone to and it is amazing!
I'm a fan of the overall company, though. We've gone to Excellence hotels three times now. They are fabulous

@pui: yep I concur with the other Excellence Playa Mujeres reviews. We honeymooned there in 2011 and LOVED it. The food was so so but the service, view and amenities were fab. Sadly our trip was cut from 8 days to 3 because of a hurricane but we would go back to any Excellence hotel in a heartbeat!!!

We also went to Excellence Playa Mujeres for our honeymoon and had an amazing time! I agree with @cmbknyc: the food wasn't the best I've ever had, but the service and amenities were wonderful.

We went to Excellence Playa Mujeres on our honeymoon and loved it. On our excursion we met a couple who stayed at the Riviera and they said it was nice, just not quite as nice as ours since it wasn't as new but I think she mentioned kids being there. I do remember her saying to get to the pool early for chairs and that they had a great pizza restaurant. I'm sure it will be great!

We went to El Dorado Royal for our honeymoon--a little south of Cancun. I would go back in a heartbeat! The food was amazing (that's why we picked it)! I have heard great things about Excellence too. So jealous of your babymoon plans!!!
Edited to add--there were no kids at El Dorado.
