Where would you go if you only had a 2-3 day vacation?
We just came back from Reno today.

Barcelona, Rome or Denmark.
We just spent 4 days in Germany last week. I love Europe, it's so convenient for travel.

Same @Artbee. That's not really enough time to go anywhere decent. When I used to live in Europe like @Looch, the options were a lot more exciting!

We live an hour from Myrtle Beach, so that's usually where we go for a quick getaway.

We just went to NYC for a 3 day mini-vacation with friends. That was a lot of fun. And in about a month, my girlfriends and I are going to go to Foxwoods for a 2 day mini-vacation which should be fun.
Also, going to the beach is awesome!

would love to go to a beach or somewhere to relax. too bad it's so cold. would love to go back to myrtle beach, but it was a 6 hour drive just from richmond. must be at least 10 hours from long island lol.

maybe something beachy since charlie would love it. would stay pretty local (2-3 hours) because i wouldn't want to waste time traveling!

We would probably drive down to Corpus Christi and go to the beach.

We do this all the time just for a mini getaway. We normally keep it some place close like Napa (which we do a lot), Monterey/Carmel, Tahoe, Reno, etc, but we've done weekend trips to Vegas and NYC, which were total whirlwinds.

We are actually planning a 4 day trip to Columbus (OH) since it's only 3 hours by car and I have family out there. They also have an indoor water park, the zoo and science center, so we can get lots of things done and not have to take a full week to do it!

Weekend trips are usually home to NYC to visit my family.
If it's just us we go to Finger Lakes a lot. Or Canada is a close one for us too; Niagara On The Lake, Toronto etc. We'll probably be going to Toronto at least once this summer to visit my aunts with my mom so they can meet the baby.
I *wished* there was a nice beachy destination close by us!

@Mrs. Bee: For us Reno is about 3 1/2 hours away, so not to far to drive.
@joyjoy: Where in the bay area do you live? Those are all areas we'd do trips to because they're close.

@maisymay: We're in the South Bay, so not directly in all the fun but within quick driving distance to everything else.

Amsterdam. It's less than a 2 hr flight from me and only 30 mins to the airport. It's so close but I've never been there except for a bunch of layovers.

Hiking in a National Park. This is actually what I want to do for my 30th bday this summer!

For me living in Milwaukee, a mini vacation would be going up to Minneapolis, maybe the Mall of America, or driving down to Chicago.
