Do you like this carrier? Is it more for younger babies like the Moby or have you used it for older babies to? My lo is ten months/ 19 pounds, do you think it would be comfortable with a baby his size? Is it easy to use?

I can't imagine using the ktan on a 10-month old. My baby is 3-months and I already feel like he's outgrown it (though he is in the 90th percentile). I'm transitioning him to the ergo now!

@Mrs. High Heels: Do you like it for a smaller baby? I have a carrier for older babies, but I gave away my Moby and need something to replace it, preferably something that does not need to be wrapped ... and wrapped ...

@Mrs. Yoyo: yes I hated the moby (too cumbersome for me), but the k'tan was so easy for a smaller baby!

We actually just gave ours away to one of DH's pregnant co-workers. He's 9 months old and won't tolerate it (or fit but he's a big baby).

Good question! I was wondering about this too. I was hoping to use for a newborn and then eventually transition to an Ergo-type carrier later.

The K'tan never worked for us, even during the newborn period. My daughter would arch back and end up laying across my stomach horizontally. I highly recommend the Ergo!

I still use it for P... She a little over 17lb. The only thing I don't like about it at this stage is she's such a wiggle worm (including bending backwards) so sometimes I feel she could lean herself out of it.... When check it in a mirror though its clear she couldn't, just feels like that to me.

I use it for a quick carry, but wouldn't use it for any great length of time. LO is four months 17ish pounds and we're phasing it out and using the ergo.

I love my Ktan. I still use it at 8.5 months but my LO is only 14 lbs. I use the Ergo if I'm carrying her for a longer period of time tho.

I transitioned to mostly ergo at about 10 pounds. I may still try the k'tan for home, but it's not as easy in then shoulders.

I liked it when LO was less than 3 months, then the weight felt like too much & I switched to the Boba.
