Does anyone else take their LO to swim lessons? B started swimming at 5 months. DH swam competitevely in college, so it was not really a question of not starting B early. Here are some picture.. he LOVES it! He is such a water baby. he's actually started kicking his legs and using his arms...

He is having a blast! We took LO to swim classes last year (~14 mo). He loved it by the end!

I want to but just can't get the timing down with her naps. We have a pool in our community and will go swimming every day on the weekends. I can't wait!!

yes! we started at 6 months and just registered for another session. DS LOVES it....so cute! DH and I switch off who gets to swim with him each week 
My parents have a pool that we pretty much live at all summer, so I wanted DS to be very comfortable in the water. Plus it helps pass some time in the winter!

I would love to, but I couldn't find classes close enough for it to be convenient. We will be at the pool a lot this summer though!

I want to get her in swim lessons so badly but I also just can't get her to take consistent naps plus her wake time lately is almost non existant (or she wants to be awake but is constantly cranky and tired so maybe she's getting more teeth).

We have a pool and I used to be a lifeguard/ swim instructor, so we're working hard on swim skills!

so fun! we are totally not on a nap schedule right now so I think she'd end up melting down at some point. but we have a pool and my parents have a pool - and we're going to Disney in May, so at the very least, she'll hit the water by 8 months!

LO is 7 months old and we plan on starting in April when we get back from our vacation to Florida- couldn't fit it in before hand but she will be going to the pool on vacation!

Glad to see so many people starting young. I plan to start introducing my daughter to the pool soon because she really loves kicking and moving her arms in the bath. I think she'll love the pool.

Lo is almost 20 months and we're finally starting swim lessons on Monday. We're in Florida, water is everywhere so its important for her to know how to swim!

We had LO all signed up to start swim lessons at 6.5 months, but no one else signed up for the lesson time that worked for us, so it was canceled 
I think the next session starts in April or May, so we'll try again.

We're starting them next week! C is 8 months old and I took her into the pool during our anniversary weekend away... She loved it!

We have had S in pools since he was 6 weeks old, and have taken a few sessions of swim lessons already at 10 months old, he is a total water baby and loves it!

@HabesBabe: I know! Unfortunately these are put on by our local parks & recreation department and cost something like $50 for a six-week session, so I don't think they could afford to give us private lessons. I hope we'll be luckier with the scheduling the next time around.

Yes, every week for the past year! He started lessons at 8ish weeks old.
The first pic is from last May, the second is from today. He loves swimming!
