I want to get back into triathlons once LO arrives but I'm having a hard time imagining how DH and I can both have a realistic training schedule while managing to see each other during the week. Running with LO shouldn't be a problem, as long as he likes the BOB stroller. I'm just not sure how to get in long bike rides and swims. Did you hire a babysitter? Did your SO stay home while you train and then switch off if your SO trains too? I'm just curious to see how two athlete families make their training schedules work with LOs!
Maybe we'll just have to stick to shorter distance races, but I *really* want to do a 1/2 Ironman one of these years!
The only times I do not workout is not because of lack of time, or lack of ability to make it work with childcare; it is because I m EXHAUSTED. That, I will say is the downfall.
