Not much besides our typical road trips to visit my family. I really hope we can squeeze in a long beach vacation in 2014 at some point though.

DH might get three weeks vacation next year (a first)! He wants to plan a family vacation, and I think he is crazy. I'm too scared to travel with a toddler and baby. We'll take small trips here and there but no big plans.

We are going to Florida for DH's cousin's wedding. We are also planning a long weekend in Austin, TX for just the two of us.
DH takes an annual week long vacation without me every year. Boo to that.

Summer we're heading to the coast to visit DH's family. April DH will be going to Monaco for a week and I'm hoping that LO2 and I will be able to go along. We'll see.

Noooooooo. Every year for the last several years we have sworn we would cut back on travel, and every year we end up out of town 3-4 weeks somehow. In 2014 with the baby coming I'm really hoping we can put our feet down to travel requests and not leave our state for a whole damn year.

I'd like to go to London in March to see Brad Paisley. And then to Gtmo Bay Cuba to visit my folks. Then hopefully DH will meet me there and we'll head off to a(nother) Caribbean destination, or perhaps a cruise?
Does anyone know of any hidden gems in the Caribbean? I like to stay away from the usual "touristy" places. I also don't want to spend like 500 bucks a night either! I'm thinking places people don't usually think of, like maybe Grenada?
I just got back from vacation a few weeks ago, and I'm ready for another one! blah.

I'm hoping we go to Asia next fall. There are tentative plans to meet my in-laws in Budapest in March. I'm sure we will go to France too to visit DH's family and my DS is obsessed with wanting to go to Paris. I hope to visit Prague this year too since it is so close to us. Not sure if we will make it to the US, but I have a friend who is getting married in the US in 2015, so we will definitely go for that.

We're spending 2 weeks in the Canary Islands this Feb. I can not wait! It's our first real vacation in ages
My mom's been asking for us to spend next Christmas with her, but I'm not entirely sure we'll go.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: Have you considered St. Martin (the French side)? We went a few years ago and LOVED it! It wasn't as overrun with tourists as the Dutch side of the island, the food was amazing, and the beaches were beautiful! I can recommend the hotel we stayed at if you're interested. St. Kitts was also fairly untouched when we went a few years ago and equally beautiful!

My husband and I are considering a short adults only trip to the possibly Puerto Rico or Bahamas this March, it's going to be super hectic for me from May-November and I don't know when/how/if I will be able to get away on a family vacation.

Between Aug 2012 - Sep 2013 I have traveled on business or pleasure to: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Aruba (6hr layover), Suriname, London 3x (mostly biz trips), Germany, Florida 2x (biz trip), San Diego (biz trip), Cabo San Lucas (biz trip), Boston (biz), Cleveland (biz), and France.
Since I am due with my first baby in 11w2d, I expect to temporarily retire my passport in 2014. If we can find the funds then we may rent a weekend house over the summer so that we can spend more time outdoors with the baby, but there are a lot of logistics to consider.

That's my goal for today- to finally book whatever it is we're doing for vacation in 2014. It'll probably be domestic, but whatever, we've gone a year without a real vacation, we need to go somewhere!

We have gone away 3/4 of the last Christmas breaks, but it is not happening this year due to DH new job. We are planning right now to head to San Diego at spring break- first week of August. Trying to find a condo rental right now that we like, then hopefully use points to book the flight. Have to get on that soon ...

we just started talking about it last night.
we were orig supposed to do a huge family vaca to hawaii with our parents, my bro, etc. but ILs want to save that for when MIL retires in two years.
so instead, dh and i are going to do a long wknd "just us" trip and we're just starting to think of ideas for our annual family vaca trip. last year we went to myrtle beach with an 8 month old, since DS is walking and getting more interactive every day, we can't wait for 2014's trip!
oh! and dh is planning a girls wknd away for me and my bffs before we start ttc #2!

@ElbieKay: Whew! That is very busy. What type of work do you do? I've always been jealous of friends who get to travel for work.
We have always done adventure type of vacations, camping and hopping around. I want to go on a vacation where we just sit and relax somewhere warm!

We're thinking of doing some long weekends away in Canada next year. We've been this close to the border for over a year, and we have yet to explore! I think we'll also go to Chicago to visit family. Love the windy city

we have friends getting married in California, a little north of Napa, in September, so that'll probably be baby's first big trip! Otherwise we might have small trips to see family, but I'm hoping they'll come see us instead of vice versa.

Probably not, we need to get back on our feet, financially. We need to plan a trip to Ecuador at some time to visit my husband's family, but it will probably be in 2015.

DD and I (and maybe DH) are going to CA to visit my family sometime at the beginning of 2014, but I am not sure when.
We will definitely be spending at least a week at the beach - either the Cape or OBX, but hopefully we can swing both.
We are thinking of doing a Scandanavia trip in August because we have never been and have some good friends in Oslo that we would like to visit. But this all depends on when I get pregnant. If it's within the next 2-3 months, that'll be out, so we'll do two weeks at the beach instead.

We have a family vacation planned for OIB NC in early July, and will hopefully be visiting D's aunt in Belgium at some point.

Not sure yet! We are definitely going somewhere over spring break, but where depends on how DH's bonus and raise do (which I should find out this week! eek!)
Option A) Long weekend in Fredericksburg, TX where they have some beautiful parks, wineries, and German food
Option B) Orange County + San Diego
Either one would be great!
