@TheSwissWifeStyle: this was the house we shared:
Tortolabeach.com
We went Thanksgiving week and it was pre high season, we also split the cost which helped!
Tortola is great though and very no frills for the most part - easy to island hop via chartered catamaran for not too much a day also! We did the Kuralu charter

@Happygal: I am a project manager (and manager of project managers!) in the financial technology sector. The travel was mostly to visit sales prospects/clients plus a couple of conferences and my company's annual offsite.

Yes! I never really travel so I'm excited to do some traveling. We are going to three out of town weddings next year to Austin, Florida and Oklahoma.
DH's family is planning a big family trip and we're deciding where when we all meet up during the holidays. DH and I want to go to either Seattle/Vancouver, Denver, or Chicago.

We're hoping to take LO on a beach vacation in the spring but have nothing else planned at this stage. Things always pop up though, so we'll play it by ear.

We are planning on taking a cruise! We're ttc so we don't want to take an overseas vacay. Need to save money for DC daycare prices!

We just started talking about this and we are thinking about going to Japan in the spring and maybe visit my folks in the summer.

Does moving count? Hopefully we'll be moving to MI in May (and we might do a side trip to see @mrstwine) for school over the summer and then we'll be taking a trip to Oregon/WA to visit our sisters before we move back overseas in the late fall.

@dc yoga bee: I think we're going to do a cruise as well! We're looking at Royal Caribbean and Celebrity--do you have experience with those? I've been on RC before, but Celebrity looks like a good deal as well.

@septca: Southern Ca right??
We'll be doing a long weekend at the beach and a long weekend in the mountains... Both probably next July. In August we'll be in Newport Beach for a week.
