I'm biting the bullet and signing up for Weight Watchers today! I have 20-30 to lose to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. If I lose the first 12 pounds in 12 weeks, my job will pay my $120 fee! Nothing like a little pressure. Anybody else doing WW? Or any WW grads?

I'm a grad-joined almost a year ago, and I lost 40 pounds before I got pregnant. It was terrifying at first, but it was by far the BEST decision I've ever made.

I have done it before and had success. I joined it again once I started back at work but I wasn't following points. So I stopped it. It just wasn't working for me this time. But nothing is. I need to find my motivation.

WW grad here. I really loved the program and had great success with it a few years back. My only advice is to steer clear of the whacky baked good recipes. No matter what anyone says, substituting yogurt does not make deliciously fudgy brownies.

I am! I went a little nuts on my honeymoon over the summer and want to get back on track and healthy as we're just now TTC for the first time. I've done WW with great success before (I lost 100lbs 10 years ago and kept about 80 off). I've kept up with the various changes to the program over the years and I think the one they have now (the 360) is really workable in a busy life. Last week I had two dinners out and ate every single point and still lost 4 pounds.

sslm did it and lost all her baby weight!!!!!
eta: i don't really get how it's different from counting calories, though.

I'm doing it right now. It's been great to really watch how much I'm consuming. I had a bad week last week and gained about a pound. I knew I was over consuming, so sticking to my points is important to me. I've lost 18 lbs on it since June. I still need to lose 20 lbs. more. I don't know if I will before we start trying again, but I'm loving WW.

@blackbird: Calories are so specific compared to the points. The points are weighted against other foods. Points force you to look at what you're consuming. You can still have a candy bar for 6 points or a bag of baked chips for 3 points. You get more bang for your buck on the baked chips than the candy bar.

@cascademom......hmm...it's all kind of the same to me, I guess. A candy bar has a lot more calories than a bag of baked chips, so the point distribution is higher. Points are easier than calories to count, I guess?

@blackbird: Yeah, easier to count, at least for me. I know that a candy bar is higher, but I can still fit it into my points for the day and not feel guilt. With my bad week, I didn't account for the damn Halloween candy I ate and a few other overages. I knew that I was exceeding it regardless of points and calories. I like WW for the 0 points on fruits and veggies. It's helped me to have fruit in the morning and with each meal.

I joined WW 3 months pp and it helped me lose all the baby weight in just a couple of months. I lost about 15 pounds while doing it. I'm thinking about joining again. I don't have a lot to lose but I think it will help me portion control and watch what I'm eating. I've been really bad lately!

Me! Just started 2 weeks ago after realizing that, at 16 months pp, it was time to FINALLY drop the weight. I'm about 5 pounds from pre-preg weight, but would ideally like to lose about 15 total (since I was carrying more than I would like before I got pregnant). So far it has been challenging, but not so hard that I have wanted to quit. Best of luck to you!

I am on maintenance... lost 30 lbs between Jan and June or so. WW has been good to me. I am kind of sucking on maintenance... every weekend I sort of find some excuse to lose count and just let myself go, but I am maintaining so I guess it's OK

It is the only thing that got me to lose more than 5 pounds in my WHOLE life. I lost 25 lbs over the course of about 6 months, and it was wonderful. I had quite a few ANGRY "I'm so hungry!" moments in the beginning but it definitely got better. I've tried to jump back on several times but unfortunately I've changed... I used to love keeping track of my points and saving flex points for the weekend, etc. but now I just don't care.
I did the online version and it was great. My work has a meeting here and I hear it's great.

I'm definitely a grad, lost almost 50 lbs doing it in my early 20's. I'm back at it again since I have a good 20-30 lbs of pregnancy weight to lose! I don't go to meetings since I am anti social and have heard bad things about them, I have only ever tracked points and weighed in online and it works for me. I'm crazy competitive so I hold myself accountable.
I find portion control to be so helpful and I like that they changed it so it forces you to limit carbs. Good luck! We should have a check in thread or something....

I am currently doing it and have lost not as much as i'd like...but I'm losing so that's a plus. I'm also a 'grad'. I went on from
January to April in 2011 before my wedding and lost 25lbs. It was the best decision ever! It definitely makes you take a step back and look at what you're eating. -

Also, I tend to pretend that WW does not exist on the weekends. Points go out the window...must work on this!! Please tell me I'm not the only one.

I did it previously and felt it was very helpful for "normalizing" my eating habits. With the points system skewed in preference of higher fibre/protein filling options, and reliant on knowledge of portion sizes, I really got to understand my food. So far in this pregnancy I've gained around 4 pounds out of a recommended 13-17 pounds so I think that portion knowledge has stuck with me well
