My 10.5 month old usually only cries for about an hour a day over it but when he does he won't let anything near his mouth but the occasional boob. I read about all of these soothing techniques but he won't have em. Anyone else?

it was a year ago but DS was like this!
I was on vacation at my parents beach house and all of a sudden DS didn't want a bottle, didn't want to be fed at all, unless it was BFing. I was so stressed out - I thought he was going to dehydrate if I brought him out in the sun, he wouldn't drink or eat! - but a few days later I spotted a tooth coming through. He was like a completely different baby when teething.

My LO is 6 months old and has been doing this for a day or so now. Usually he is looking for anything he can to chew on, but he wouldn't even eat his puree this morning. He is cutting a top tooth, so I think he is in more pain this time than with the bottom two.

@Cain13: any time DS was getting a top tooth he would have the symptoms of a head cold, running noise, stuffy, coughing, etc. I think the top ones are so much worse

LO is like this. Although she will still chew on everything on her own terms but if you try and look at her gums or go near her mouth, it's freak out city.

yup P wont let us put any teethers, washcloths, anything in his mouth....what helped us (but some don't like to use it, understandably) is orajel, just have to fight him to get it in his mouth but it seems to give him some relief.

Oh man it sounds like the top teeth are gonna be worse.

C is the same way! No teethers, no frozen washcloths, nothing! I still have to brush her bottom teeth everyday (she's cutting hr first top tooth right now) and she screams bloody murder.

I've only had success with frozen blueberries in her mesh feeder...she'll take that mesh feeder any time, any place.

the only thing our LO will eat is applesauce when she was cutting teeth, it was brutal. Although I do think the bottom were worse than the top, she did those both at hte same time though.
