Did anyone else think it was "Downtown Abbey" at first? I didn't realize it was actually "Downton" until half-way through the first season!
I LOVE Anna & Bates so so much!! January needs to hurry up and get here.

Season 3 has just started here in the UK
(sorry... not to rub it in or anything!) Did you get the Christmas Special in the US as well? It kinda bridged the 'gap' between Season 2 and 3, including a major piece of the Mister Bates plotline! (I won't go into detail as that would be a spoiler)

OMG yes! But I have been naughty and downloaded the first two episodes of season three because I just.can't.wait!!!!! Awesome show! I also have an accent like Daisy's so it reminds me of home : )

Just noticed my DVR picked up a new episode last night!! I hadn't realized that the new season was starting so soon! Yippie! Pumped that I have the day off -- I will be spending an hour this afternoon with a cup of tea and Downton.

reviving this thread because i just watched seasons 1 and 2 over the last week! (hence my absence from HB!) i'm totally hooked and cannot wait to see the wedding!
p.s. does anyone else think matthew looks like draco malfoy's handsome (and not evil) older brother?

Love, love, love! I watched Season 1 a weekend my son was sick, and have been finishing Season 2 during afternoon nap time. So excited for season 3!
Apparently Upstairs, Downstairs is available on itunes, the British version from the 70's, think I will get into that one next...

@lemondrop: all of the old seasons of upstairs, downstairs are on netflix, too! Possibly Hulu as well. I watched them all and then took out the first season of the recent continuation from the library. I loved them all!! I know PBS has been airing season 2, but I have been missing it. Will have to catch it online I think!

I've been watching season 3 and it's gooood! Although I watched a particular tear-jerker while on the subway, big mistake!!!
