Luckily, I'm on a work trip so there wasn't much time for FB today, but proactively, I posted this yesterday and got a lot of support and likes. (26 to be exact!)
I didn't see any today and I'm glad my friends (from what I saw) didn't do it.

@owlteach: I'm so sorry that your friends posted it. Hugs to you!!

@bluestriped bee: I appreciate your bravery and honesty so much! Sometimes I consider it...but the fact of the matter is that I am a high school teacher and coach (sort of) and I am fb friends with some of their parents. I'm just not sure that I can handle my kids and everyone in our small little town knowing that much about our private lives.

@owlteach: Aww, yeah, I understand. That's so hard. Just know that there are some people out there who read my message and didn't post. I'm part of a IF fb group and they posted the messages as well.

Ughhhh I knew it would come, and I tried not to look at them, but of course I had about 4 on my facebook......
All I can say is blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

This is the first year I actually didn't see any. It was wonderful.
They're pretty tasteless, regardless of whether you're struggling with IF or not.

Thankfully I didn't have any. I did cut my friend list down post baby though so that may be why.

Yes! I saw about 10 of them in total on my FB feed and it just annoyed me. I did end up cutting down my friends list (again) after it, mostly because I just find it immature.
I do find it hurtful too, I find almost anything to be a painful reminder of the situation we're in.
I know most people don't experience what we experience but I couldn't help but wonder about some of the people posting about pregnant, what if years from now they try to get pregnant and have IF issues?! How funny would their April fools joke be then.
Not IF related - one girl I know (she's late 20s) filled balloons up with glitter, put them in her bf's car and told him there was a present for him in one of the balloons so he has to pop them all. In his car. Glitter everywhere. I would kill someone!

I had two on FB... After the second one, I posted that second photo above as well as a blog post about it. I also posted the photo to IG and Twitter the night before which was my baby step. I was surprised at all the likes! Until yesterday when some guys decided to start a debate about it and other things... So lame.
@alohaorchid: OMG that's hilarious and a mess!!! He's gonna have glitter everything forever now!! LOL.

I was prepared for it, so it didn't surprise me to see it pop up. I actually was cringing for the poster b/c I know she is a loving person and would be upset if she had any idea how that might affect someone negatively. She had a surprise honeymoon baby, so her reality is that getting pregnant is an easy thing!
Later, she took it down and apologized b/c someone gave her a heads-up. She shared this link, and I thought this was well stated:
"The fortunate truth is that those who make these comments don’t do so with malice in their hearts. They don’t say it to get a rise out of those who do know the heartache of infertility. They do it because it is a quick and often guaranteed way to shock their friends and families. So, my request is simple…
I want to gently remind you of all the people in your lives who would love to share with friends and family that they truly are expecting. If all of our posts about our own babies and families aren’t enough, let’s leave false pregnancies out of it. Because more than likely with your silly joke, you are hurting someone you know or care about – you just might not be aware of it."
The comments in that post were really interesting! Many people thanked her, while other people dealing with infertility said that it didn't bother them at all.

I only saw one, and it was from a guy friend. I posted the second picture that @bluestriped bee: has above. Several people commented and sent me messages thanking me for putting it up and drawing attention to infertility awareness.

I had never heard of this. And I'm really glad...I might have had to hurt someone!
