I'm a weirdo and love watching the debates. My husband hates it and refuses to watch with me because he says it riles him up too much.
Anyone else tuning in? I'm so interested to see how it's going to go...

I was thinking about it, but I'm on the east coast and starts at my bedtime! If I weren't getting sick I might stay up anyway.

Haha, I just posted a similar thread. We must have been posting at the same time.

@lawbee11: They say tonight's debate will have Super Bowl level ratings!

I would love to but I'm on the east coast too and it starts too late! My boys wake at 5am so there is very little in this life worth pushing back bedtime, lol.

I will definitely be watching. I already know who I am going to vote for, but I am interested to see how the candidates perform.

Absolutely! Unfortunately it's during bedtime for my boys (we're on West Coast time) but we can't miss it...

Definitely! It's also right down the street from my parents house - wish I could have gone!

Oh, for sure! If I wasn't pregnant I'd definitely be playing the drinking game.

Yes we'll be watching. Not psyched about how late they're on and I normally hate watching debates (they make me feel so uncomfortable!) but I consider this a must watch.

@sunny: What time does it start for those of us on the west coast?
I want to watch it if I'm not busy with the babies.
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
Yes, but mostly because we have friends coming over to watch. Otherwise I'd be hiding under the covers, so stressed about this election!

Yes! Can't wait! DH is actually going to watch with me.
pomegranate / 3244 posts
Yes! Just picked up pizzas, beer, and cake maybe a little overkill, but it's my birthday and this is what I wanted to do, ha! #nerdalert

Yes, but it starts at my bedtime and I got wasted on rhe one glass of wine that I was going to have to "loosen up" before hand. Now looks like I'll be wasted for the first ten minutes and then pass out. Politics!

@hellobeeboston: um that sounds really fun actually Hahahaha
DH wanted to boycott watching because of #letgarydebate - but since I'm watching he said he will too lol

Watching with DH from Ontario, Canada... I'm still in shock this is happening across the border.

Watching in Canada because I feel like I need to see this! Does Trump actually ever answer the question he is asked lol?!

@Reese: I thought it was funny that the network I'm watching opened with "the two most highly despised presidential candidates in history" And it's so true lol

@lawbee11: this is my first time watching a presidential debate ever, I avoid anything political cause it upsets me.
Holy cow, politics aside, that was really uncomfortable to watch as a woman. From the moment he said,"secretary Clinton, is that alright? I wanna make you happy." What a condescending patronizing asshole. There's nothing more that can be said.

@lawbee11: i watched most of it. I still don't understand how Trump made it as the Republican nominee though

The debate was both entertaining and depressing. How do non-racists justify supporting Trump??? I just don't understand...
pomelo / 5791 posts
@Adira: I don't really understand how anyone can justify supporting Trump. I think I might actually understand more about politics than he does, and that's not saying much.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@ValentineMommy: I mean, I guess I understand racists and bigots supporting him, since that's what he is, but I know a lot of people who I THOUGHT were well-educated and inclusive and even they are going to vote for him because they are soooooooo anti-Clinton and just have to vote for their party. It's crazy!
