I grew up in Northern Virginia vaguely following the Orioles, but never could get truly behind a Baltimore team. Now as a New Yorker though, I'm fully behind the New York Yankees!
So I'm definitely rooting for the Yankees in the pennant race with the Orioles! The fact that the last few games of the season are against the Red Sox is just icing on the cake...
Anyone following the pennant race? Who are you rooting for?

Nope. Never was a big baseball fan, but once I moved to Philly I got caught up in Phillies Phever. But since the Phils are out this year, I couldn't care less. I couldn't even tell you who's in the pennant race.

Nope. My Red Sox are so embarrassingly horrible this year that I can't bear to watch. I'm just focusing on the Patriots instead : )

I bleed orange, black and purple so yes, I'm following the pennant race closely. I'm so happy for our birds, it's been a long time for us Orioles fans.
Now the question is - who will be the wild card? Will there be a playoff game? Will the O's need to play a game in Tampa Bay, a day later a game in Baltimore and a day later a game in Oakland?? There are so many things that could happen! It's madness! I love it!

Hubs is, and it's leaking over to me. He went to 4 games this year (I had to go to 3 of them).

I'm an Orioles fan for life, sorry Mr. Bee! Definitely hoping they can pull out the division win, but the fact that they are in the playoffs at all after 15 years is pretty awesome. Of course, this had to be the year that the wild card moved to a one game playoff, grrrr.

It's not our year around here. I'm an Astros fan and my hub is a Cubs fan - the only two teams with 100+ losses. We went on a date to watch them play each other last night in what we were calling "the battle for the bottom." Fun, but not pennant worthy!

I've been an O's fan since childhood and I now live in the DC area so I'm also a Nats fan. I would love an Orioles v. Nationals World Series. Something to look forward to for this bed rest girl. We had Nats tickets tonight that we had to give away.

If the Orioles win and the Yankees lose, there's a one-game playoff at Oriole Park on Thursday
If the Orioles win and the Yankees win, Orioles play in Wild Card.
If the Orioles win, and Texas beats Oakland, Orioles host Athletics on Friday.
If the Orioles win and Oakland beats Texas, Orioles host Rangers on Friday.
If the Orioles lose and Texas beats Oakland, Orioles play at Oakland on Friday
If the Orioles lose and Oakland beats Texas, Orioles play at Texas on Friday.
This needs to be verified, but I think it's correct.

Nope, but our town is all abuzz since the Cincinnati Reds are in it.
DH and I quit caring after DH's team (Cleveland Indians) self-destructed following the all-star break; maybe next year.
