Anyone have a budget friendly double stroller that they love?
I cant afford any of the fancy ones even with buying them secondhand. (bob, etc) I am looking to buy one of the cheaper models second hand off craigslist (run about 75-100 bucks) but unsure it they are worth it?
anyone have any recommendations?

No recommendations for new ones but I would check on craigslist or your local FB yard sale/moms group pages if you have those. I found my single Bob on craigslist and it was a great deal, practically brand new!

@bushelandapeck: wow you got a good deal! there aren't a lot of high end strollers around here that are sold and the ones that are on craigslist are easily 250+.

We bought the contours double stroller for $70 on a FB sale site, I've heard good things about it but haven't used it yet.

@stargal: are you looking for something you can put an infant carseat in? If so, what kind of carseat?

@stargal: We played with a bunch at the store, and we were going to go with a side by side but it just didn't seem to be ideal for a newborn and there wasn't a lot of storage space. I like the Contours because it has the infant attachment for a car seat and the seats can go all different ways. If I remember correctly it's like stadium seating as well which is nice!
ETA: and it fits most car seat types!

@stargal: @Bao: we have the contours one. I bought it used at my cousins yard sale for $50. So far we have only used it twice but I like it! DD is only 9 weeks old so we haven't tried many different configurations but I think they will love it when they can face each other!

My friend uses the sit and stand and loves it. you can buy an adapter to make the stand part a seat

@Bao: is it really heavy? i'm concerned about the weight of it? would it fit in a standard trunk? lol I have a buick .

@stargal: It is heavier than the side by side I was looking at, but it is a few pounds lighter than most of the other ones. I am pretty weak so this was a big concern of mine, but I think it will be ok. As far as fitting in a trunk I'm not sure, I have an Escape so a smaller SUV. Since the seats come off so easy I think it would be able to be put in one way or another.

@locavore_mama: We found it at buy buy baby, which was where we played with it and then decided to look for it used. The front and back seat are the same size as far as I can tell and roomy in my opinion!

@locavore_mama: I think they are a good size. My DS is almost 2 and is comfortable and has plenty of room. I know my cousin had been using it with her 3 year old too and he fit well.
