My debit card was compromised. Thankfully, USAA caught it and is sending me a new card immediately. Also thankful it wasn't used for any unauthorized purchases.

I don't think so, but don't know for certain. Maybe I should call my bank?

Did Target contact you first? We shopped the last day of the breach, in the afternoon, so I have sort of a false sense of security. No weird movements so far.
PS USAA is the BEST, I love them

@mamimami: nope. We got an announcement from USAA a few weeks ago stating that they were monitoring accounts for suspicious activity due to the breech. Then, this morning, I got this notice that a new debit card was on it's way to me. YES USAA is the best.

I didn't see anything on our debit card or CC yet. Hopefully it stays that way.

I didn't see anything on my card but I shopped there several times during the breach so I got a new card from my bank just in case. Not worth the risk!

I haven't seen anything appear on my CC either, but the website posted a banner stating they will be monitoring accounts closely for irregular activity.

There were no actual unauthorized charges but because my card was used at Target during the time period my bank decided to cancel and it and reissue just to be safe.

I don't know if mine was Target or regular debit card fraud, but I had fraudulent random charges in two different states on my debit card just 2 days before the Target thing was announced and I shop at Target all the time with that card. SO...could be a coincidence, but maybe not.
I caught it (luckily) just a couple hours after it happened because I was checking my account online for something, so I called the bank, they investigated and refunded me the money.
One was a charge for $500 so I was freaking out.

My bank notified me that they were monitoring accounts a few weeks ago, but so far I haven't seen any fraudulent charges or heard from the bank *knockonwood* I only shopped there once during that time period.

I don't think ours was from the Target issue, but a few weeks before Christmas we had a random $1 charge followed immediately by at $11,000 charge. Needless to say Visa froze our card and sent us new ones. Crazy!

USAA! The best customer service.
I did manage to drop my credit card last night while volunteering at a huge convention center event so I had to cancel that when I got home. ugh. now I have to change all of my auto-pays.

Our bank thought our card may have been compromised so they sent us a new one.

My bank actually cancelled my card for me and sent a new one without me doing anything. It was awesome.
