I'm really struggling with the carseat decision because we have such a small car. Neither of us are in any hurry to upgrade, since we don't have any car payments... A few months with a 2 door and we could change our minds but for now, we're sticking with the 2 door.
Any suggestions on carseats?

We don't have a 2door, but my company car (that I use for personal use as well) is a Ford Fusion Hybrid and since all of the stupid hybrid stuff is in the back, there is not a lot of room in the back seat (or trunk! It sucks but it's free!)...So we got the Maxi Cosi Mico...It is supposed to be for smaller European cars, and I had read they are popular with people who drive Mini Coopers. I got a good deal on ours on AlbeeBaby, I think... Good luck!

My husband has a 2door bmw m3....the back is tiny!!!!
We used a graco snugride back there.
For the convertible, we ended up getting a recaro proride which is super bulky and we wont be using in his car. I would recommend a diono radian if youre looking for a convertible. It is the trimmest car seat out there....would definitely work in a small car.

We're planning on getting the Combi Corroco for our convertible (would work for a newborn as well) b/c it's not as tall as other convertibles so it should fit nicely rear facing in DH's car (not a 2 door but still small civic). It is also trim enough to fit 3 across.

I bought a graco snugride and it fits in the back seat of my old 60s VW bug. That's a dang small 2 door car if you ask me.

The first 6 months of DS's life I had a 2dr Yaris Liftback. I had a BabyTrend infant carseat because literally it was the only one that would fit. I know the MaxiCosi Mico fits too but they didn't have any in the store & I didn't have enough time to return if needed.

Another vote for the maxi cosi mico. We got it because DH has a mini and it was the only one that fit! I've also read that the combi corroco is the best option for convertible seats for small cars.
