Thinking about getting the Braun Ear Thermometer and was wondering if any of you have it and if so, what do you think about it? Thanks!

have it and love it! we had a temporal thermometer before that, but readings were so inconsistent.

@mrs.bee: Oh good! That was the other one I was considering (the temporal one). I think I"m going to buy it! Did you have you buy extra plastic tip covers for the Braun?

I just got this at my shower on Wednesday...I registered for it because it had a lot of great ratings on Amazon. Awesome!

@banana: also didn't like the temporal one because it was so inconsistent.
Our pediatrician suggested the regular 'ol rectal thermometer when they're tiny because it's the most accurate reading you can get on a small infant (when they're too small to use an ear one/ears are too small). I hated using it but it give me a sense of relief that the reading was correct. -
i think it came with a box of extra covers!

I think there are 14 extra covers in the box
