I only kiss DH on the lips, so it's always weird for me if anyone else (family) wants a kiss on the lips. Plus, DD has a constant cold (thanks daycare) and I honestly don't want to get sick anymore. I give her lots of kisses on the cheek and forehead though

I can't say for sure yet but I think this will be me! My family are not lip-kissers and honestly it sort of weirds me out. I expect she'll get lots of forehead and cheek kisses but yea-- no lip kisses.

I kiss her on the lips occasionally (like a few times a week), but I kiss her on the cheek much more frequently. And I'll probably only kiss her on the lips while she's a baby/toddler. My parents never kissed us on the lips growing up, so I guess that's why I find it sort of odd.

I kiss him on the cheek. If I tried to kiss him on the lips, he would open his mouth and try to nom on my nose

My parents/family NEVER kissed on the lips (well my parents kiss each other, but no one else) & DH's family is the same way so I find it odd that I kiss LO on hers. But she's only 4 months & her little mouth is so cute (as are her cheeks & toes & hands & belly button lol) I just have to kiss it! This may change as she grows older because I was always one to find it a little strange when everyone in a family kisses each other's lips.
No offense to anyone! It's just because of how I was raised!

My immediate family NEVER kissed on the lips, and I always was so uncomfortable even seeing friends kiss their family on the lips....
That being said, I kiss my LO on the lips all the time. Her lips are just so kissable! I'm actually sad for the day that she's too old for lips kisses 
I know I'll stop one day, I'm just not ready, lol!

My family never did but I kiss both girls on the lips every day. It feels natural for us. I'm sure we won't do it forever.

I'll never kiss Xander on the lips! I feel like lip-kisses are for only romantic loves! It creeps me out when parent/children kiss on the lips (sorry parents who do this!)!
Of course, Xander doesn't seem to get it yet (11 months). Whenever I try to kiss his cheeks, he tries to turn and lick my lips! Gross!!

My family aren't touchy feelly people. We don't even hug even though I hug all my friends all the time. I currently only kiss DS on his cheeks, forehead, head, etc. No lips, but he's 6 months. Let's be honest. I mainly "eat" his cheeks rather than kiss. He gets a kick out of it any way bc he's ticklish.

@Adira: hahaha! C will do this too. I've tried giving him a kiss on the lips, but when I lean in, he'll open his mouth to eat my nose. hahahaha! No thank you.

My family never kissed on the lips (except parents, of course), but I can't help but kiss LO on the lips all. the. time.
I also kiss her tummy, cheeks, forehead, toes, feet, etc... she's just so darn kissable!

I think when I have kids I will lip kiss when they are babies/toddlers but stop once they hit maybe PreK? And I'm sure I'll limit them when they are all slobbery blaahhhh. When I worked in daycare, the kids (10 months) would ALWAYS try to kiss me on the lips! I became a master of diversion to the cheek lol. It never occured to me that kissing kids I taught would be weird because the parents all thought it was the cutest thing ever. Now, I may find it really weird if my child's daycare teacher would shower him with kisses. But I was only like 20 and I loved them like they were my own babies!!

I can't remember ever kissing my family or maybe I just stopped when I was little, but I love to kiss LO on the lips and have him kiss me back. I think it's the sweetest thing ever, slobber and all. I do try to limit it during flu season though. And I imagine it'll change when he's older.

I don't! She tries so sometimes she gets a peck close to the corner of her mouth/air kiss near it but I prefer her cheeks, forehead and head. I didn't grow up kissing on lips so that is probably a factor.

I kiss DD on her forehead or cheek. She still doesn't entirely get kissing though. She always wants to touch similar body parts together. For example, when I ask for a kiss, she'll touch her cheek to my cheek... or occasionally, she'll go in for a lip-to-lip kiss. For some reason, it is confusing for her to use her lips to kiss my cheek!

I kiss my LO on the lips ocasionally bcause she wants it, but mostly I do forehead, cheek, and we do "eskimo" kisses with our nose. It's her favorite right now.

I remember kissing my parents on the lips when I was a little kid, and can't quite remember when it stopped. My husband, on the other hand, comes from a very puritanical, New England family and was adamantly against lip kissing kids. He used to talk all the time about how gross it was.
Fast forward to actually having a baby, and we both kiss her on the lips. It's just irresistible! DH has mentioned his earlier hesitation a few times and just says he loves getting kisses now, but that we should stop when she is a few years old. She gets mostly kisses on the face, however, not on the lips.

My LO isn't here yet but DH and I both come from a non mouth kissing family. The only person you mouth kiss is your SO. Lol so no we won't lip kiss LO.
Always seemed weird to me! But I didn't grow up around it.

If I am initiating the kiss, she gets a cheek or forehead kiss. If she initiates , it is usually a lip kiss. Hubs always does cheek kisses though.

If you ask M for kisses she goes right for the lips and it's so adorable! Although lately it's been so dry that we often get a static electricity shock and then she cries because she thinks I did it to her on purpose!

My family didn't kiss on the lips, but I kiss DS on the lips. When I say kisses, that's where his little lips land - on mine. I'm not stopping him! I live the sweet little kisses.

I kiss LO on the lips all the time. I also kiss her on the cheek and she's the only person in the world whose feet I kiss. It's not at all creepy to kiss your child on the lips. It's not sexual.
