So my little one is stubborn already and refused to move into a better position for the last two perinatologist scan appointments. They want me to go to a prenatal cardiologist because the tech couldn't get two views of the heart that she needs to sign off on. They don't suspect any problems but I am still a little nervous. Has anyone been to a prenatal cardiologist? What did they do that was different - just take a longer time? What if she isn't in the right position again?

Yes, we were; but we were referred because LO has a small but rare heart abnormality that they found via a regular ultrasound at 30-something weeks. In our case, we went to the specialist who had a much better ultrasound machine (and my regular OB had a great machine/tech!), and they spent almost an hour just looking at her heart. The tech and the doctor were in the room with us the entire time, and were very open about telling us what they were looking at every step of the way and answering questions we had. They did all sorts of fancy things via ultrasound; getting different pictures and views and stuff.

@yoursilverlining: Thank you! So basically it is just the best quality machine and they'll take as much time as they need - that makes sense! I'm a little worried that she still won't be in position but I guess as heart experts they might sign off on a view that the perinatologist tech might not.
