I wasn't into the Tom plotline, but then it got really good this past week... I loved the recent episode!
Anyone sucked into The Blacklist lately?

Soooooo good. Last week was a great episode but such a cliffhanger! I was so disappointed! Can't wait for Mondays episode

I love that show! I love how both the case and the backstory are equally compelling - There's only been 2-3 episodes that I can think of that one of the components fell flat (that Ivan one comes to mind).

Love The Blacklist! It's definitely one of our shows every week. It makes Mondays a little more bearable.

Love, love, love it!! It keeps getting better. I could do without the long breaks in between episodes sometimes.

@TheReelDeal: Not that this explains the gaps between episodes (which I think all the shows are doing), but my husband mentioned reading somewhere that they're having to slow down the pace of the show because they've already given away too much of the story.

YES!! I am loving the Tom plot line...I knew from the beginning something was off about him! I'm not sure that I buy Red saying he doesn't know much, though...

@bunnylovesbear: Red has told Elizabeth that he's never lied to her... so if that's true, he doesn't know much about Tom's organization.
Then again, he seems totally comfortable with lies of omission! He never really brought up that he took a little road trip and smothered her adopted father with a pillow...
@TheReelDeal: It sounded like the showrunner heard loud and clear from fans that they didn't like the Tom sub-plot festering like it had been. So they're resolving some of the secrets there, and maybe the focus will shift to the organization that sent him to infiltrate Elizabeth's life? Should be interesting, especially if they can turn Tom... so that he and Elizabeth are forced to work together for a few episodes.

@mrbee: Exactly!! It's the lies of omission! I go back and forth on whether or not I think he knows more about this than he's letting on to...
I'm thinking the fact that Tom was sent to target Elizabeth must have something to do with her relationship with Red... Isn't he her biological father? I know Elizabeth has no idea how they are connected, but I can't remember if they just hinted at that possibility or if it's a fact she just isn't aware of yet. How about the music box scene? siiigh.

@bunnylovesbear: I think Red said he wasn't her father in one episode? He is awfully parental towards her though.
My theory is that maybe Red's wife had an affair and gave Elizabeth up for adoption. And Red had his friend adopt her.

@mrbee: I don't think Red didn't say he wasn't her father but more than he couldn't give her an answer to that question.

Love the show! And since we are behind on the episodes here in Germany (Madeline Pratt (No. 73) aired here this week) all your comments make it sound as though it just gets better and better

We've been watching since the beginning! Love love love James Spader and love the suspense... I just want to know the guys Tom is working for and what Red is going after and what is true relationship with Liz is!
