You missed me by 2 months! I’m 10 weeks now and will be done after this one. Good luck, and if you need a cheerleader I’m around.

@karenbme: thank you! And best of luck I’ll see if anyone else chimes in, but I miss the activity from the boards from the 2017-2018 days when I had my son!

@Kmomartin: same… it took 18 months to conceive my first and I would not have made it without this space.

I'm so sad that the boards aren't as active as they used to be. I loved the POAS board when I was trying to get pregnant with my first back in 2017/2018 too. Currently expecting my second soon, and was disappointed no one was around this time around, as it took me longer and was pretty emotional. Same with the due date boards.

Hi everyone! I know it's an old thread and that I haven't been active in a long time, but this looks like the most appropriate thread to post my update on. I see some names here and there from the time I was here a lot more, nice to see you all again!
So...after TTC since 2013 and doing four rounds of IVF with nothing to show, the end of a long relationship and a year of being together with my new partner, we decided to switch from preventing to NTNP last month, but I didn't start taking my meds yet and we were pretty sure nothing would happen.
Well, things got a bit weird, so I decided to test after being a scaredy-cat for a little while and saw two lines on a test for the first time in my life.
It's still really early, anything could happen and I don't want to get my hopes up, but right now I'm the most pregnant I have ever been and that's something special even if it doesn't work out.
I hope everyone is doing well, I have missed the community.

@paranundrum: what an incredible update!! Fingers crossed it all works out, so excited for you!
I was actually wondering about you and a few of the other ladies from the POAS board a few months ago. We had a really active group going about 4 years ago when I was trying for my first. I didn't post a ton, but followed the boards very closely! So happy to see an update!

@paranundrum: Congratulations! That's amazing that you got to see those two lines. Fingers crossed that it's a sticky baby!

@paranundrum: congratulations! I know what it’s like to try not to get your hopes up in early pregnancy, but make sure you celebrate this step. It may seem like step one of fifty, but it’s an important step!

@paranundrum: Wow, congrats! I know things are quiet around here but there's still a few of us that check in, please keep us updated! Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you.

Thank you all for the kind words.
Today was the first ultrasound, there was a heartbeat and baby is the size it's supposed to be. Things are looking good right now.

@paranundrum: this is so nice to hear, good luck! I know I'm not very active online any more but I remember you being such an encouraging voice on the ttc and pos boards. I'm so happy for you!

Thank you all for the support, I really appreciate it. We haven't told almost anyone yet so it's nice to have a whole bunch of secret cheerleaders.
We're doing just fine! I had my week 12 screening yesterday and everything looks good. Two legs, two arms, a strong heartbeat and the risks for chromosomal issues are very low. My blood pressure was a bit high, but I think it's just the nerves.
I have been feeling okay too, a bit too okay in fact, I was starting to worry about the lack of symptoms. I had the "a bit queasy all day long unless eating crackers 24/7", but no real nausea between weeks 6 and 9 and my digestive system has gone to glacier pace mode, but other than that I feel fine.
I think we'll start sharing the news a bit more during the holiday season.
Thank you all so much!

It's about time for a small update.
I had my 20th week ultrasound this week, everything is as it should be and we're having a little girl!
I also bought my first pair of maternity jeans today...the hairband fix wasn't doing it anymore.
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday season and the January blues are passing.
