My dermatologist ran a blood panel after a cancer scare when I was 21. Randomly, ANA was part of it. Mine came back really high, 1:640 (I think the testing has changed so it may not correlate to your numbers). Mr bedside manner said I had Lupus and passed me on. I then saw a rheumatologist who said not to worry unless I had other issues pop up. Anytime I had blood drawn in the years that followed, I had the doctor add ANA to the panel. It remained high for years, but now comes back normal. It is a marker, but does not mean you have an auto immune disease. I hope your story goes as well as mine!

I don't know what an ANA is so I can't comment on that, but I was dealing with daily hives for about 2 years. They started out small and just on my hands, but over time I'd get breakouts all over. I had two extremely stressful jobs during that time and the hives got worse on days that were particularly stressful. There were also some clothing issues that made it worse, like wearing a hair tie around my wrist, socks that were tight on my ankles, or having my legs crossed for too long (I'd get hives where my legs touched...so weird). Thankfully, I've been mostly hive-free for about a year now. My job is much less stressful now and my clothing doesn't bother me anymore, either. Hope you get some answers soon - I know how much hives stink!!
