DD2 is 9 months and still no teeth in sight! So weird to me because DD1 sprouted her 1st tooth at 6 months! Our dr said she has seen kids with no teeth at 1!

DS1 didn't get his first tooth until 10 months, and it was oddly his side top tooth. He looked like a vampire for a while with both of his top side teeth coming in before his front teeth! Our neighbor's son didn't get his first tooth until after his first birthday.

My brother was around 14 months!
Its actually a good thing because its less risk of bottle issues with teeth!

Oh yes. Both of my boys got their teeth after they were 11 months old!

My dd got her first around 9m. My second had zero then and then had only one on the bottom for a long time! But both had all 20 by 2.5 so think every kid has their own pace!

DS2 didn't get his 1st until 9-10 months and they came out super slowly. I remember because he was eating regular food and chewing it with gums.

lo1 had no teeth until about 1, and then the first 4 spouted out all around the same time and filled in quickly after. lo2 has seemed like she’s teething for the past 3 months but nothing yet! (she’s 7m now)
eta i just did a quick look back at old pics: lo1 didn’t have any teeth visible on her 1st bday but 6 weeks later there were at least 5!

@T.H.O.U.: A huge plus to me right now is I don't need to worry about her biting me while nursing!

Lo didn't get her first until 9 months. It might be an old wives tale but I've always heard it was a goid thing as far as the strength and overall health of the teeth.

DS1 got his first tooth @ 9.5 months. His teeth in general came in slowly.
DS2 got his first tooth @ 6 months- he has so many teeth (his 2 year old molars came in @12 months).

A good friend's DD only had 1 by her 1st birthday
R has 5, but he has gotten all of them in the last 6w (he's 9.5m), and I think there are more coming but he won't let me poke around long enough to get a good look. DD1 had her first tooth at 4.5m and had all of them, including one-year molars by 14m. DD2 was in between those extremes, so I think pretty average.

My dd didn't until 9 months, she's 15 months now and just got her 7th tooth.

Is 9 months actually that late? I guess my kids get their teeth late, although they seem to get a ton at once.
LO1 got her first tooth at 11.5 months. She had 6 teeth by her first birthday.
LO2 got his first tooth at 9 months and has 6 teeth now (he will be 10 months in a couple days).

My oldest was 11.5 months till she had a tooth poking through. She's almost 6.5 now and hasn't lost any teeth

Yup. DD3 sprouted her bottom two at around 10 months. She'll be 1 in 2 weeks, and her top two have just come in over the last few days.
DD2 also started showing teeth around 9-10 months (I feel like she was "teething" from around 5 months, but no teeth actually appeared til much later); after the first ones broke through, they all came in at breakneck speed, one after another.

DS got his first two teeth at 10 months. He's 15 months now and still only has six teeth. I wasn't worried, I didn't get my first tooth until I was a year old, so I thought his might come late.

@catlady: Late to me since my first got them early!
@PinkElephant: I know! I'm like ALL that drooling for months for what? Haha!

My oldest got his first two at 10.5 months. My second just slightly earlier but at almost 3.5 years he is still waiting for 2 molars! Dentist was not at all concerned and said they tend to be healthier the later they come in.

DS has full mouth of teeth by his first birthday and he has enamel issues.
DD was toothless on her first birthday and her teeth are perfect.

LO didn’t get teeth until he was 12 or 13 months. In fact at his 15 month check up he still only had four teeth. He’s sprouting them seems like every few days now.

My first got his first two teeth in the last week or so before his first birthday. He was walking already! He was also eating all sorts of foods - he just chewed with his gums.
My second got her first tooth at three months! That was a shock.

Most dentists will tell you that the later the teeth come in, the better, as a general rule.
ODS got his first tooth at 11 months.
YDS didn't get his first tooth until 14 months--I was starting to think he wouldn't ever get teeth, lol.

@Woolly Mammoth: 3 months!! Haha what a spectrum! I would not have been expecting teeth that early either!
@NurseDMB: Alright, now I feel great! No wonder DD1's teeth were never that great even though we brush, limit sweets, etc.

Wanted to come back to this and report that DD2 sprouted her first 2 teeth at 10 months

@snowjewelz: We are still holding at 4 at 13 months!!!! It's not slowing down her eating, though. Holy cow is this girl HUNGRY

@PinkElephant: Mine too, lol! Lack of teeth does not deter them at all
