Have I missed the boat on this? LO loves sitting on our sofa but it's a bit high for him and I was thinkning of getting an anywhere chair or its cheaper like but I am worried that no sonner will I have it home than he will be over it. How old was your LO when you got one of these chairs and how long did they use it for?

We got R an anywhere chair for her 1st bday. She is only 18M but she sits in every day. It is also her climbing tool to get on the couch!

Have you seen the Land of Nod chairs? The pet shaped ones are fun (but pricey).. I think a 2 year old would still love their very own comfy/anywhere chair. I know a 4 year old kid that still uses his (though it is very worn and a tight fit, haha).

@Smurfette: I'm sure LO could use it as a launch pad too!@mauxie: They are adorable, a little saucy on price though - I'm don't want to spend much if he will grow out of it in less than a year. I'd like to get a decent ROI!

We have an uglywhere chair and we love it! E's only 13 months though, so I can't speak as to how long it will last her. They do have an oversized option.

We bought her an "ugly where" copycat chair with a 20% discount. MUCH cheaper than PBK. She likes it, but I find that I rest my arms on it more

both of mine got theirs around their first birthdays. at 3.5 years old, DD still sits in hers.

I got a used anywhere chair when LO was 12 months, I love that the cover is washable but LO wasnt really interested. So we bought a little recliner from Homgoods and she LOVES that thing. But it is has gotten pretty dirty and is not washable, only spot clean. She is almost 21 months and still prefers the recliner.

I was determined to get E a chair for Christmas last year and looked everywhere. I couldn't stomach the price of the anywhere chair for what is essentially a piece of foam. I found a great upholstered chair for $90, it's vinyl so it will wipe clean and was small enough for my 19 month old and big enough for our 8 year old nephew. E sits in it to read and to watch tv and it fits right into our living room decor, I love it! This is the chair we got, but I suggest checking at some local kids furniture stores.

I think I will get the Land Of Nod chair for his 1st bday or Xmas this year. DH works for Crate, so we will get a discount.

We got the land of nod one for DS's first birthday. He LOVES it. He's almost 20m now and still loves it. His 5 and 8 year old cousins try to sit in it too (and fit!). I think you still have plenty of time!

I got the kids bean bags from Target - they love them and there is room for 2!
