@dominobee: well that is confusing. I've heard stories of people break through bleeding on the progesterone but it never happened to me. I would just cramp for days and then get my period 72 hrs after the last suppository.

@dominobee: Do you have any cheap tests at home you can take this morning?
pear / 1553 posts
@mrskansas: I do, but I'm already at work. Tomorrow was my POAS date but w/ my parents in town I don't want to do it because if I get a BFP I won't be able to keep it in! I want to wait until second trimester (or as long as I can) to tell my parents, partially because I want it to be something just between me and DH, a fun secret we have. So I'm planning to POAS Monday with FMU, if AF doesn't show.

@dominobee: Your willpower never ceases to amaze me!
But I would do the same thing. Having that little secret is pretty fun

@mrskansas: I've seen enough BFNs for a while. AF is easier to handle than BFNs, for me. It's like one and done, wheres BFNs are just repeated disappointments.

@dominobee: I feel ya. I will be thinking positive thoughts for you this weekend!

Also, my nipples have been tender recently which usually happens before AF. All signs point to not pregnant. Or maybe I'm just playing mind games with myself to stave off disappointment, LOL.

@dominobee: not that this will help you at all but I spent the week before my positive convincing myself that gas pains were cramps and that obviously I was going to get a negative and my period

@snarkybiochemist: LOL! There's still a tiny sliver of hope in my mind, as always (even when I've started spotting in the past, LOL) but since AF has come 23 cycles in a row of TTC I just sort of expect her this cycle too.

@dominobee: totally understandable. I hope your weekend goes well

I just spoke with a nurse & she said I shouldn't use OPKs until Sunday and to come in for an ultrasound Monday morning (CD 13).
So I'm just going to try to be patient and keep BDing over the weekend. I still think it's going to happen sooner rather than later though.

@dominobee: Once my hcg was declining I definitely got my period, despite the suppositories...I was surprised because I thought it would be suppressed till I stopped but apparently not!

@skiierchck99: Interesting. Sounds like it's one of those cases where everybody's different. I'll let you guys know what happens. Like I said the light cramping in the evenings makes me think my period *wants* to start.

@dominobee: I'm ok! Monday was a sad day but I'm doing better and trying to practice mindful living and just being happy with my life as it is now. I will say I found the months of bfns easier then the cp but I'm on the other side I think. HCG was down to about 50 today, so I'll go once a week until it's ~0 and then start a FET. I have no idea how long that will take, so I'm just taking it day by day until I know more.
Wishing you this cycle!

@skiierchck99: Thinking of you. Loss is a tough road but there is a light at the end of the tunnel

I had to get another draw today, hcg down to 6. I was hoping to be able to do the testing (day 3 bloodwork, hsg) this cycle, but they won't since my hcg is not 0. Looks like next month I will have to be away for work day 3, and the following month I'm gone days 7-9, the only time they schedule hsgs. The nurse said to abstain from all intercourse until we can do a testing cycle, to guarantee my hcg is zero so that we can start (we were originally going to do it in Jan but a non-viable pregnancy interfered then too). I guess if we're still here in July, which seems likely enough, and no more losses are interfering, I'll have it done then, but I don't want to abstain for three months.
On the one hand, I doubt they'll find anything treatable and I don't want to give up our chances of getting viably pregnant in the meantime. On the other hand, it would be so frustrating to keep on going through this and then learn that there is something straightforward wrong that could have been treated.

@Mrs.Panda: ummmm, hi preggo!!!
I'm at work, so I'll catch up with this thread later!

@periwinklebee: Damn, I'm so sorry your schedule is interfering with getting testing done. I wouldn't want to abstain for 3 months either!

@periwinklebee: You're at BWI too, yes? When I pushed them on doing my second HSG a day late because I was going to be OOT, they told me I could ask for a prescription to do it remotely, like at a Quest lab - could you maybe look into that?
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@dominobee: Thanks I realized I could switch a flight I'd booked within the past 24 hours to a red eye, and hence hopefully be around for both day 3 and hsg in June - next cycle is not going to work regardless. I had to catch a 5:30am flight this morning because I originally thought I would need an hsg today (would be that time if the CP hadn't happened) and wanted to be back - so tired right now, and the red eye is more miserable, but worth a try. After beginning of June, though, I'm only doing one trip the whole rest of the summer and so far only have one short trip in fall.

@skiierchck99: Thank you! They told me I could do the blood work anywhere in the U.S. - they would call it in - but the problem is my insurance only covers MA (and is really good in MA) and I don't want to pay OOP.

@periwinklebee: Ugh. I kind of hate flying so I feel you. It's so exhausting. Glad to hear you won't have to travel so much in the second half of the year.
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@dominobee: Yeah, I'm hoping traveling less will give me something to look forward to regardless of TTC. I've been feeling pretty low lately and am not looking forward to all the travel I have to do for work for the next couple of months (at least it looks like I will be around for fertile windows). I'm hoping once I'm able to be home more and it's summer and we can get outside and do fun stuff most weekends, that life will start looking up even if TTC is still a strike out.
Have fun with your parents this weekend! I'm jealous! And good luck whenever you decide to POAS, I am so, so rooting for you!

@periwinklebee: I'm so sorry the timing is so awful. I tend to agree since you've been pregnant twice in the last few months, that day 3 and hsg are not that likely to help ... my instinct would be to try too! Hugs
