Had some EWCM last night and a faded line on OPK- don't think it was positive though since it wasn't as dark as the control line. Perhaps I'll get a positive today?

Thanks all, I think we will become night owls this cycle and see if we can make a difference

@MrsHansen82: I'm going to try my hardest to wait to test this time, seeing the BFN is such a mindf*ck! You know you're probably out but you hold out hope, and when AF comes I think it's that much more disappointing.

Finally April! So excited to see BFP's start rolling in!

I'm kind of starting to think I might be out. I think I have watery CM, which I had for three days before AF showed up last cycle, so... this might be a sign that AF is coming this weekend.

  8. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Adira: Wait but I thought you're not testing till 4/12? Did you O early?

  9. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@snowjewelz: No, I'm planning on testing the weekend after AF is due (if I can hold out). I don't like testing mid-week because regardless of the outcome, I won't be able to concentrate at work. So I test on Saturdays. ASSUMING my LP is back to normal, AF is due next Tuesday (hence why I'm testing the weekend after). BUT last cycle, my LP was only 10 days and if that's the case this cycle, I might get AF this weekend instead.

@Adira: it ain't over till its over girl and just FYI I would KILL for a 10 day LP. Ten days is plenty of time for a baby to implant. Good luck!!!

CD13 and we had some morning delight to begin our BDathon for this month. It was very pleasurable. I really like mornings. Usually can't get my hubs on boards for it but this morning was his idea because he was way to tired last night. I used a soft cup, sat on a pillow for 10 mins after, did missionary and drank a big ol glass of green tea this morning. I hope it helps!

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@whenoceansrise: I think you will get a positive soon. Keep BDing or start I say as soon as you get a decent line even if its not positive yet.

Thinking of today's testers and hoping to start this month our right!!!!

  12. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Adira: Ah so crazy! But you are def still IN regardless of how long your LP is! Go away AF!

@MrsMccarthy: We def enjoy AM BD too... Sometimes we're just so beat at night. I like being "surprised" in the morning!

@MrsMccarthy: I hear you! I really hope your LP is longer this time around! How many times are you nursing a day now?

  15. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

I think DH and I need to try AM BDing more often. I've been told sex is supposed to help sleep...but I'm WIDE awake afterward for some reason.

So, I wasn't going to ask for any input and I've searched about all I can search, but can anyone offer advice on yeast infections?

I'm planning to pick up a 7 day treatment on my way home because the discomfort kept me awake last night.

But I haven't had one in probably 8 years (and that's the only other one I had...and it was from being on antibiotics). I can't figure out what might have caused it. I only wear cotton underwear. I eat yogurt almost daily. I haven't been on any new meds. I "clean up" rather thoroughly after BDing...

Is there something else I should be doing?

Or maybe it's just a fluke of my hormones still settling post MC (I think the GIANT zit on my chin would agree with that)...

  16. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@MaryM: I got recurrent ones when I was in law school and then they went away until we started TTC again. I had a bad one the month before I got pregnant with my son. Chalked it up to extra sex and it being summer time. Haven't had any since! I do what you do (shower after sex, cotton underwear).

  17. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@winniebee: I don't shower after, but I use moist wipes. Maybe I'll have to graduate to showering...

I'm not certain we're BDing more often...but maybe we are? I've never tracked it as diligently in the past. Guess we'll be taking a break for a week though. Sorry DH!

    Hi All!
I've been watching this thread on and off for quite a while and figure it's time to introduce myself. I'm MrsB2012. I'm currently on mat leave and have an 8 month old daughter. DH and I both want our kids close in age and have been 'trying' for our second. Today was a happy day as I am officially CD1! It's my first pp period so I'm very happy to hopefully start a regular cycle soon. I don't know when I'll POAS ( ok ok, I POAS pretty much every week.. I have a slight addiction. ) I can't decide if I should order OPK's for this month, or if I should just try and take it easy. Anyways, just wanted to say hi! Good luck to everyone

@MrsB2012: Welcome and congrats on TTC #2! I will add you to TBD Glad to have your join us! Do you foresee it being harder to TTC now that there is a LO around? How was your TTC experience w/ #1?

So my OPK today had a good line, pretty sure tomorrows will be positive which puts me in line for a Christmas Eve due date - exactly what I do not want. If so, this cycle should only be 30 days, which is awesome after 32-38 day cycles. Hopefully I can start the countdown to AF soon - so eager to try again.

Two years ago tomorrow is the day I got my first squinter for DD. Good luck to all of you testing this week!

  21. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MrsB2012: Congrats on TTC #2! That's so exciting!! Just to warn you, your first cycles postpartum will probably be wonky! My first cycle (at 9.5 months pp) was 3 days (ovulated CD 36 with an 7 day LP) and my second cycle was 38 days (ovulated CD 28 with a 10 day LP). And this cycle (cycle 3), I ovulated CD 20 - so it's regulating, but it can take a while! Are you nursing at all? Because that could also affect your cycle.

  22. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Radish: Despite the potential Christmas Eve EDD, are you still going to try if you get that positive OPK?? Or just wait until next cycle?

  23. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Radish: You were wise to sit this one out then! Excited for your cycle to finally be shorter!

  24. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@Adira: No, as impatient as I am to be KU, I really don't want to saddle a kid with a birthday that will be overshadowed by Christmas. I feel like if I were to get KU this cycle, I should be able to in the next few months as well.

@snowjewelz: I'm getting excited about the idea of a January due date.

  25. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Radish: Kids are adaptable! I have a holiday birthday and sometimes it sucks, but sometimes it's awesome (I hated missing out of birthday stuff at school, but as an adult, I LOVE having my birthday off)! But I hear you - having a December birthday in general is HECTIC because there's always so much going on that month anyway! (Both my parents have December birthdays!)

  26. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@Adira: We would definitely adapt if it happened, I just don't want to plan for it. That being said, we haven't been "careful" this week, so anything is possible.

  27. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Radish: Well good luck to you either way! I hope you get the outcome you desire!

Something is definitely up - and either way, it's good. Ever since my cycle returned post-DS, I've had spotting for 3-4 days before my period arrived. My last few cycles have been around 25 days, so spotting starting on CD 21 or 22. I'm now at CD 24, and no spotting at all. I've been taking B6. So either my LP is lengthening (yay!) or... well, you know (YAY!!!) I'm keeping myself a little in suspense though... I don't want to buy tests yet, so I won't be POAS on Thursday (4/3). I think I'm going to try Adira's strategy and wait until Saturday, at which point I'll probably know anyway.

@mrshansen82 @eabae how are you ladies feeling? Hopefully I didn't miss any updates...

  29. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@Radish: I'm in a similar boat as you this month.

My EDD if we got pregnant would be less than a week after the last week of classes (and I'm hoping to finish all but my thesis by December).

But we weren't exactly careful either!

I hope we both get whatever outcome will be best for us in the longterm

  30. Adira

@keepcalmcarrie: Eeeeh!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

    @keepcalmcarrie: YAY that's exciting!!!

  32. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@keepcalmcarrie: FX for you. Yay for a good cycle either way!

@MaryM: That would be super stressful! Definitely something that can be worked around if it happened, but not ideal.

  33. keepcalmcarrie

    persimmon / 1096 posts

@Adira: @MaryM: thanks ladies! I'm kind of leaning toward it just being a lengthened LP, which is also good but of course not as exciting - I just don't "feel" pregnant, you know? I don't remember if I had any super early symptoms with DS. I think I was tired, but I always feel tired now so it's hard to call that a symptom with a 1 year old running around!

  34. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@keepcalmcarrie: You never know! But this is a win-win for you so it is still exciting

  35. keepcalmcarrie

    persimmon / 1096 posts

    @Radish: thanks!

@snowjewelz: true. how are you feeling?! congratulations, by the way, don't think i said that yet... so exciting!!

  36. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@Radish: Exactly. I know I could make it happen, but at the same time, I fear going into labor in the middle of a final or something similarly uncomfortable.

And the thought of attempting to fit in some of the teeny tiny desks we have!

  37. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@keepcalmcarrie: I had pretty much ZERO symptoms with my first BFP (although looking back, I might've experienced some cramping, but while in the TWW, I didn't notice it). But even if you're not pregnant, a longer LP will be AWESOME!

  38. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@keepcalmcarrie: Thanks! I'm super bloated & crampy & don't want to take off my bra to sleep cause my boobs are so sore! I feel like the excitement of a BFP becomes overshadowed by a lot of anxiety & fear!

Btw, I know mrshansen82 is waiting to test, I don't think we've heard from eabae yet!

  39. MrsMccarthy

    @MrsB2012: welcome!

@Adira: I'm nursing once before bed and one in the morning but last week we had about 4 sessions a day a couple of days because of illness and last night he nursed for 45 minutes. Tonight I am gonna cut him off after 15 mins as much as I hate to do so. I read amount of time suckling is a huge factor. I hope we both have good news this month!

  40. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MrsMccarthy: I did notice that when I dropped nursing sessions, Xander started nursing longer. I know cut him off after 20 minutes (10 minutes each side). I really hope we both have good news this month!!!!
