LO #1 was never much into being swaddled so I only used the 7 swaddling cloths as blankets and covers. I'm expecting #2 in July and someone bought me a 4-pack of Aden & Anais swaddlers. Should I keep them? Or return them? They kindly included a gift receipt and I looked online...they are pricey! (~$50!)

If they are the 47" x 47" ones I would keep them. Those work the best. If they are the smaller 44" x 44" ones I would return and use for the stroller.

7 sounds like a lot to me. I only ever had 4 at a time and that was enough.

Yeah 7 sounds like more than enough. We had 1 swaddle blanket and use just 2 muslin cloths. Any more and I'd end up spending more time caring for them than the baby...

We did more swaddling with sleep sacks than a&a blankets or any blankets (which we've used for ther things and still use at 2.5!) so I can see wanting to return them. But I would probably keep them because I'd wonder if the gifted was looking for them in pics and stuff.

7 is more than enough and my son loved being swaddled. I like we used 3-4 at most.

We have more than 7. That said, if they are Muslim keep them- if they are bamboo return/exchange. Bamboo is too slippery to get a proper swaddle IMO.

We had 8 (two sets of A&A) and I wish that I returned one. We used the Swaddle Me blankets at night, so we didn't use the A&A that much.

i said return, although full disclosure, we have a 4-set for LO #1 who currently uses them altogether as his nighttime blanket, so i am going to get a new set of 4 for LO #2. i voted return since it sounded like you're not still using the ones you already have.

We only have two and I find that to be enough. H never liked being swaddled, so they are used as loveys at home and at school.

I say keep them but only b/c I use them for so many things. I rarely ever used them for a swaddle. Now my toddler uses them as his blankie. But thankfully he's not picky about which one as all of the prints are different. We keep one in his crib and he sleeps with one at school so we're constantly washing and using them. In fact, I'm buying a bunch more to use with DS2.

We had a big spit up issue, so we went through TONS of blankets. If LO isn't a spitter upper, that many would be unnecessary

4 was plenty, even with DS spitting up due to reflux.

I love them and have too many, but in your situation, I'd return them towards a stroller. I did that with a few items I didn't feel were totally necessary.

I have 3 and it is plenty. I keep one in the diaper bag all the time, so I have two spares for when one is in the wash. I don't see any reason to have more than that. 7 seems like a lot. I use inexpensive Gerber burp cloths all over the house so we have lots of those instead.

I never use mine, I much prefer Halo sleep sacks. This could be because I suck at swaddling!
