I've had a bunch of BH contractions throughout the day today. I'm a teacher so they've happened while I'm walking around and sitting down. In fact I'm having one now 
Did your doctor give you specific outlines on when to call (if at all) for BH contractions?

No need to call for BH
Just make sure you're staying hydrated, as contractions can sometimes be made worse by dehydration. But BH are a completely normal part of pregnancy and not cause for any alarm. If the contractions persist for a long time at timeable intervals then that would be reason for concern for pre-term labour (assuming you're less than 37 weeks).

How far along are you?
My doctor said that BH are totally normal and I only needed to call if I had real contractions, bright red bleeding (like a period), or my water broke. Just make sure to drink water and put your feet up.

Just depends on how far along you are and how frequent they are.
I had very regular BH that started at 27 weeks. They became too regular (every 10 mins) and turned into pre-term labor at 30 weeks.
My vote is to always keep your doc in the loop, unless you are at or near full term (in which case regular BH are to be expected)!

I get them all. the. time. I'm 27 weeks and probably have 15-20 a day? Maybe more? He only wants to hear about it if I have pain with them, and/or if they happen at regular intervals that I can time. I did go to L&D with them once, and they told me I probably have an irritable uterus and will get them til the end.
If you're worried it never hurts to call though! I probably called 4 times wondering about them, because they freaked me out! He did an ultrasound to measure my cervix since i was getting so many (and it was fine). Now I'm just used to them and I drink a ton of water and they tend to go away for awhile.

I was told to call if they were coming at a regular interval for longer than two hours, and if lying on my side for a while didn't calm them down.

Like some PP, mine said to call if they are at timeable intervals and more than 4 an hour. I feel like I have mild ones on and off all the time now (31 weeks), but nothing that I've ever really noted to be coming regularly, and they are very mild.
That said, why not call the nurse line at your practice and just ask? It will make you feel better if it is nothing that needs attention, and if it does need attention, I'm sure they would tell you what to do next.

Thanks, ladies! I am 29 weeks and did call my nurses line after I started getting cramps along with the abdomen tightening. They had me come in and monitored me for a while. Thankfully all is well! I feel like a paranoid FTM but they told me it's always better to call
