I was out one day and noticed a mommy group: some were wearing track pants and messy ponytail, some were wearing jeans/sweater, some jewelry, but this one mom was wearing heels, skinny jeans, makeup done, hair done, and fancy jewelry.
Do you think this one mommy was comfortable and that she's just naturally dressy-uppy? Or, did she work hard at making herself look so pretty?
Getting myself put together takes a LONG time and not "natural" for me...

I agree, I think it just comes to some people. I on the other hand, I don't even have kids yet and I'm embarrassed at how I dress sometimes!

I think it comes natural to people. I have a friend who is NEVER without makeup and her hair done. She can be on no sleep or hungover and she is always put together no matter what. I laugh at her, I can definetely rock the yoga pants if we are just running to grap a coffee in the morning, no need to spend forever getting ready in my eyes.

Oh man, I'm a mess most of the time. I once asked my husband what I could do if I wanted to look nice for him, and he said "your hair looks really nice when you brush it."

nope doesn't come naturally to me. i can look at someone stylish and appreciate how stylish they are, but why is it so difficult to recreate?

I definitely think so. I have a couple friends who always look great and dress in the latest fashions, but I'm so opposite of them.

It's much easier now to get inspiration because of all the fashion blogs that exist. It's also easier to get paralyzed by indecision because of all the fashion blogs that exist!
I found it a lot easier when getting dressed for work. It's the casual chic look that I find hard to get right.

I think you can be fashionable without looking like you just stepped out of a victoria's secret catalog (the clothing section!)
I'm all for comfort first, but think that I can pull off the right outfit as long as I'm feeling my closet (it never seems to have what I want at the moment!)

I feel like I have fashionable days, where everything just "works" without my trying and I look awesome. Other days no matter how hard I try, I look unbelievably bad.

Dressing nice doesn't come naturally for me. it never has!
