Despite a system which I think is very clear, DH constantly is asking/leaving dishes in the sink, etc. How do you handle this? Do you have a magnet- if so, where did you get it? If we go this route, I would prefer something funny, and not just "clean/dirty."

We clean as we go in my house. If clean dishes were something I wanted and DH didn't care, I imagine I would just clean all of them. We divvy up plenty of chores that way.

Do you mean for the dishwasher? Ours is SS so it wont hold a magnet - I told my DSS and DH that if you open it and there isn't a green light - its DIRTY - if you open it and see a green light - Its CLEAN.
does yours have a light?

We never have clean dishes in the sink so that'd be our dead give away it's dirty. Clean dishes go in the dishwasher (we use it as a drying rack).

No idea how to help you there, because we suffer from THE SAME THING! It seems pretty straightforward to me to just open the dishwasher AND LOOK, but this is beyond my husband, at least.

DH always leaves the dirty dishes in the sink and it drives me up a wall. I usually text him and ask him to wash them. He will usually do them while I'm putting DD to bed.
I need to put up a sign because he always leaves food in the drain trap!

We usually clean after every meal and/or every nt before bed. Dishwasher gets loaded each nt!

My DH does this too. I just add them to the dishwasher/clean up whenever I walk by. Not an awesome system but I pick my battles!

We don't rinse our dishes well enough that there is every a question whether they are clean or dirty

I just let dh and D put their dishes in the sink and load them into the dishwasher a few times a day. It's not an issue for me.
