Are there any popular trends that you don't get?

@HeatherlovesKenny: omg I just bought some tealish green skinny jeans from Nordys and I LOVE THEM!!!!

I'm not a big fan of UGGS either, other than for staying warm. I once told a friend that they were called UGGS cause they were UGG-LY. Of course, she then proceeded to tell me that she just bought some, lol.

I also never got the whole Louis Vuitton LV patterned purses, luggage, etc. Since it's not a very aesthetically pleasing pattern, I can only surmise that people bought them as status symbols.

@Red: I feel ya on LV, I don't dig the pattern, especially with the price tag.

Ombre hair! To me it looks like someone got lazy and couldn't be bothered re-dying their roots! Obviously, no offense intended to those with hair like that!

On the other hand, I'm totally wearing leggings (in my defense my shirt is long enough to mostly cover my booty!) along with some beach feet (our cheaper version of UGGs) and I would totally have no problem going out to the supermarket like this!

Other things I don't get: intricate fingernail art, flowers as big as the new borns head in newborn photos?! and the mullet skirts

Definitely don't get the ombre trend, especially the hair!

@Penny Lane: haha @ the mullet skirts! I don't care for those either!

@Sweet T: especially here in NZ (i'm not sure if this is the case anywhere else, or if we're just style challenged), for some reason mullet tops are "in" as well, so you see plenty of people pairing mullet tops with mullet skirts... Disaster!

@Red: I love my LVs but I probably did buy them just to show them off. But they are really great bags!

@Penny Lane: haha thank you... I hate seeing such precious newborns/babies with humongous flower headbands on their heads. it looks too over-the-top most of the time.

Uggs may look ugly but they are comfortable! In the fall and winter in NYC, that's what me and my girls wear a lot!

Just in further support of Team Ugg, I bought baby ones in Sand for Harper....Mostly as a photo prop since we live in FL, and so she can match me in mine should we have a cold week or two in December (which we usually do)! I may get her the pink ones later....But she REALLY doesn't need 2 pairs of baby Uggs in S Florida so I at least went with the more practical color:)

She is getting in on the trend early:)

Oh and it's not that I DISLIKE the ring fingernail painted the different color, so much as I just don't understand it...Is there a meaning that one of you can explain to me? I think if I knew what it "meant" then that would help! It just kind of drives me nuts because I don't know what it means. And if it doesn't have a meaning, then yes- it will continue to urk me a bit. I need reasoning, haha!

Tissue paper pom pom clusters on a nursery ceiling. How do you dust those suckers?!?!

@Mrs. Tricycle: yes! Complete dust trap!
Can't abide jeggings on adults. Yuck.
Leggings where backside is not covered by tunic or similar and said backside is big enough to stretch the fabric far enough to show panties through.
Don't know if it's an Irish/uk thing, but teens wearing pjs out and about- usually with uggs. Ug is right....
Love uggs but pretty much only as slippers. Our weather is too wet in winter for them to be any kind of practical.

hah, I'll admit to loving Uggs. I live in New England, so they get me through the winter! & yes, expensive - but the pair I purchased 4 years ago for $160 are still going strong. No one can tell me they haven't spent $40 on a pair of shoes that lasted about a year!

Ombre: I have had ombre hair for the last 1.5 years. It has been my favorite hairstyle to date lol on me though it's pretty subtle and just the very ends are a little lighter. This was my inspiration: http://pinterest.com/pin/284430532685779980/

Feathers: I think they're kinda cute to be honest!!

colors in hair: love this http://pinterest.com/pin/284430532685682915/

Rompers: on adults? no freakin' way. It was popular in the 80's, my mom and grandma wore them. I saw my MIL in one on vacation. it was.... yeah... umm..

Uggs: never been a fan. My husband said they are the worst invention known to man. and NO MAN I know finds them attractive lol. He calls them elephant feet. He also said leggings are the worse invention ever but I disagree.

@Mrsdaredevil: if I were skinny I would totally wear colored skinnies too!!

umm I don't get the bun on top of the head- looks just messy to me http://pinterest.com/pin/244812929714976785/

    and harem pants... just awful...

@aunt pol: hahaha, your leggings point is one of my biggest pet peeves! we call those see-thru leggings "tights"...ladies, if you take the "legging" and stretch it on your hand and can see your skin? put it back...they are tights. doesn't matter if it says "leggings" on it. leggings should never be see through. ever.

clearly i am rant-y about this issue!

@JessLC: YES. For the love of all that is holy people, put some pants on! Or wear a longer shirt! No one wants to see that hot mess.

I love Uggs (esp their actual tough winter boots, not the kind you see all over, although I like those too) but I live in New England and when it's -15 out those suckers are WARM!!

I hate twilight/50 shades and other uber-popular poorly written fiction. Especially fiction with weird undertones and weird messages for women re: relationships with men.

I also don't get the obsession with the 80's by people who were not even alive in the 80's.
