I live in the 'burbs, but am a country girl by heart!

I said other.

We live in the burbs but are a 15 minute drive to the city.

We've been considering moving to DC for a long time, and are city-folks at heart!

We fell in love with a town in Upstate NY. It was such a change of pace but we loved it up there. We bought a house for weekends and vacation and then decided we wanted to move there.
We lived there for exactly 8 weeks before moving back to Boston.

My parents have a summer residence on Cape Cod. That's enough wilderness for me!
I now know that I am a city girl through and through and never want to leave ever again.

I answered other. I live in and love the country but I work in the city. It's a good balance. I can do my shopping after work and we are close enough to go to dinner in the city when we want variety or something to do.

All? We live close to a small city and I love it, yet we live in a small farm town, but yet we have a neighborhood with close neighbors.

definitely country. the more remote, the better. we've been living in a small city for 5 years now- and I'm desperate to get out! Fortunately, we are on the same page- and plan to build on a minimum of 10 acres once my husband finishes residency!

end of a dirt road would be best!

I was born and raised in the country, moved to the suburbs in HS and DH and I live in the burbs now. He has always lived in the suburbs but our next move will be into country. Acres, ponds, woods, ahhh I crave it.

Suburbs. I need my guarantee parking, preferably in a garage, and my space. But I still (would have) liked to be withing 30 minutes of downtown. I'm about an hour away now and it feels too far.

I always say I'm a country girl who somehow found myself living in NYC. I've had fun here for the last 5 years but I am SO so so ready for some country livin'!

Like a few others, I prefer the suburbs but to be close to a city. We are about 20 minutes from the downtown area of our city, my dh works downtown and I go down 2-3 times a week for different things. Plus, our town is super walkable while still having the perks of the suburbs (like a big yard and garage!) If I had to pick straight up city or country I would pick city in a heartbeat.

Both I guess. But I always call myself a cowgirl and I have 17 pairs of cowboy boots. I feel like im cow girlish enough.

Oh but I hate horses and country music.

We live in the city, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but will have a house in the country (upstate NY) so it'll (hopefully) be the best of both worlds!

small town girl. It's not so country that we don't have neighbours, but it's relaxed. I wasn't big on living in the city, and I can't even imagine living somewhere as big as NYC!

City. Except I want to be rich in the city, and we are not. So being middle class in the city makes the suburbs sound nicer than I used to think.

But man, If we could afford a really nice 3 bedroom in a doorman building, next to a park (a girl can dream), then I'd be happy in the city the rest of my life.

Country girl here, but livin in the 'burbs due to our jobs

I live in the 'burbs and love it. My suburb is more on the country side (strawberry and corn fields all around), which is ideal for me. I can't handle big cites!

I am a city girl. I've always lived in the burbs but they are so close to the city that I can't really separate those two.

My husband is a country boy (or wants to be!) and I just can't give in! It's one of the only things we disagree on!

ETA: I would go visit one of my cousins who lived on a farm. She use to suggest going and playing on hay bails for fun. Um, that doesn't sound like fun and all the crickets jumping at my legs would make me squeal!
