I've seen super fans (such as myself!) but I've also seen people who say it's not their style. So here's a poll!

Yes! 80% of LO's wardrobe is Carters, it's cute and affordable.

I like them for pajamas, so when I go in to get the next size (as I did on Saturday) I usually pick up a few other things, like tees and socks.
The one thing I do not like is the tees with the wording. I am not into them at all and I don't buy them for my son. He can wear a tee with a dino on it, but I'll pass on something that says "Mom's hunk" or whatever on it.

I love them...I think their clothes are adorable and very affordable. I also think they hold up well. I do find that if you get something made specifically for a store (like the Carter's made specifically for Target) the quality does go down a little as does the sizing (seems to run a little smaller than their normal stuff), but love it all just the same.

Yes!!!
Some of the styles are too "little baby"ish now at 8+ months but I still buy pj's, onesies, anything solid colors, and some other items! I pair Carters with other more "unique" pieces these days so her outfit doesn't scream CARTERS! But in the early days lots of their outfits were just so convenient.
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
@looch: I liked the things with words more for when C was a littler baby, or a newborn.

I'm a fan. I like that they have general colour families so lots of pieces can be mixed and matched.

Personally not a fan. But she still wears it because it was gifted. I'm not gonna return something just because its from carters.

For tiny babies, they are great...But I found that once my LO got older, the sizing ran so small, and I wasn't crazy about the style of stuff too. I like Crazy 8 or CP better.

Yes! His wardrobe is almost exclusively Carter's. I try to pick stuff with out the words on it, b/c I'm not a fan.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
When he was younger he wore almost exclusively carters! It fit him best! We were gifted a bunch of J&J stuff though for this size and so I haven't gone to carters in a while (except for Jammies).
I also dislike stuff that has wording on it - "mommy's little X" so it can be limiting at itmes.

I really like them. Cute AND affordable. Plus, they fit DD really well, as opposed to Circo and Gymboree

I like their stuff...cute and affordable and I don't mind when LO gets them grubby at daycare. I prefer the clothing without sayings and slogans.

I think the girl stuff is way cuter than the boy stuff. I like their PJs and plain white onsies, but I don't buy much more than that there, unless I'm buying a gift for a baby girl and I see something cute on sale for Liam (they do have good sales).
blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts
You would think they would stop putting words on so many items since most people seem to not like it...
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
I agree with PP about the words/slogans--not a fan of that stuff and it's everywhere at Carter's. I like their sleepers/PJs, and I am sure our LO will wear a lot of it while she's a newborn, but once she starts wearing more "outfits" I probably won't buy much from there. I much prefer Baby Gap for that stuff!

Reading these responses, I'm realizing that I don't mind slogans for boys but I don't like them for girls! Haha.
And before LMW came along, I thought EVERY girls' piece at Carter's was amazing. Now that I shop for her there I only like a few things! It's so weird how much pickier you get when they arrive!

Love Carters bc it's easy, affordable and comfy for my LO. I don't worry about her getting messy which is a huge plus when she's doing arts/crafts
I love other brands for style but love Carters for everyday play clothes
coconut / 8305 posts
Meh. Most of their stuff doesn't fit P well bc she's long & slender, and I find them very baby & cutesy which I try & stay away from when dressing P. They are good for small sized shoes & sleepers though!
coconut / 8430 posts
I love that its cute and affordable! I guess the only downside is you see babies wearing the same stuff but I don't really care too much. It's not like wearing the same dress to the Oscars or anything!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
LO is still in utero, but all the clothes we've bought for him so far are from Carter's! Hubby is also a fan of the place because their clearance rack is awesome.
grapefruit / 4671 posts
I don't really like the quality and I do find that it isn't stylish enough for my tastes. I love their rompers for little baby girls though, cute!
bananas / 9227 posts
Cute, soft, true to size and affordable! All of my pieces also seem to wash well. I consider Carters a baby essential.
blogger / pomelo / 5400 posts
Some stuff is ok, but a lot of it is too cutesy for me. Especially the slogan stuff! Mommy's Little Hunk and such ... blah.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
I like them for affordability and comfort (who doesn't love cotton stretchy pants). But I don't love the style. Too much has cutesy sayings or is loud crazy prints. You can find some really cute classic pieces but they are hard to find. I also got annoyed that a lot of their stuff isn't "mix and match" outside that season. So if you bought pink leggings from spring, it probably will not match the shade of pink in a shirt from summer.

We were gifted a ton of carter's. I really like some of the more 'outfitty' things but I'm not a huge fan of the outfits with sayings and the applique on the butt. They are totally fine and comfy for home but I usually choose something else if we're going out.

I'm a fan. Their sizing fits C really, really well. I like the cutesy stuff and their bold colors and prints. My main squeeze is Gymboree though. Im a Gymbo addict.
Im actually really NOT a fan of Baby Gap, Janie and Jack, Mini Boden, etc like a lot of people around here are. So, I guess that's just where tastes differ.
squash / 13764 posts
Their sizing fits LO well, and I think they're great for basics (onesies, both colored and white) and footed sleepers. Some of their stuff is too "cutesy" for me, but on the whole I like it!
papaya / 10473 posts
I don't do the cutesy sayings or slogans, or animal appliqués ... But I have noticed that this summer they have a ton of cute boys stuff that look like mini versions of DH's clothes - little polos, khakis, etc.
pear / 1672 posts
So far, of all the clothes she's received or I've bought, Carter's fits her the best. She's tiny, and she is swimming in most 0-3 month clothing from many popular brands because they are way too big for her (looking at you, Baby Gap). I stay away from slogans and such regardless of brand.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Overall I like it, I try to avoid phrases or overly cutsy items, but its great for onsies, and play comfy clothes for daycare.
nectarine / 2127 posts
@looch: I am so with you on the wording. "Mommy's Rebel?" Ugh. How about "Mommy's Future Honor Student", that's a shirt I would buy. I want bigger, better things for LO lol!
pineapple / 12526 posts
@septemberlove: There was a really cute one last Fall that said "Boy Genius" with an atom on it.
nectarine / 2274 posts
Overall not a fan of their clothing, I bought some of their premie clothing and donated it after Ds grew out of it. I didn't like the quality or the style.
pineapple / 12234 posts
I buy some stuff from Carter's but I like baby gap better and I don't think the prices are that far off.
grapefruit / 4120 posts
I like their stuff OK but I had a TERRIBLE customer service experience with them and now I am anti.
coconut / 8498 posts
I really like Carter's for pjs and play clothes. It definitely has a presence in LO's closet. When I'm looking for something special or extra cute, it's not my first stop.
pineapple / 12234 posts
@zippylef: I love Gymboree! I think you and I have similar mini style (only other HBer who loves big crazy baby headbands!)
pineapple / 12793 posts
Ok for pjs and undershirts but I dislike most of the clothes we've been gifted from there. DH is really anti animal print on babies and we ended up with a lot of "jersey cougar" stuff ... His words.
