I enjoy quiet time but I don't take a lot of naps! DH always naps on his days off!

I'm not at all. Even during the early sleep deprived weeks, I could almost never sleep mid-day. It is way too hard for me to wind down and then when I do, I wake up groggy and usually with a headache.

I could, but I haven't since M was born (besides my hospital stay)

I'm so terrible at naps. I have to be so tired I can't walk to take a nap. I had 1.5 months off work before LO was born & I would always try to take naps, deep breaths, no phone, cool, dark room & I could set a timer for an hour, having never opened my eyes & still be awake. I went to kindergarten back when they still gave naps & I never usually napped then either...it's just not in me. I wish it was. DH had high sleep needs, dude loves naps & early bedtimes!

I don't really care for naps! It is really hard for me to fall asleep and if I do fall asleep, when I wake up I am very grouchy and I usually feel worse.

Nope, hate it. I always wake up miserable, grumpy and achy. We'll see what happens when baby girl gets here, though...

I wish I could nap! I've never been a napper, which made the first few weeks after LO's arrival tough

I naps! Although, I have to be careful about napping too long/too late, because that will get in the way of my night-time sleep.

DH and I love naps. More likely then not we nap on the weekends while R does.

Yes! I love naps. DH and I will usually say we are gonna lay down for like 20 minutes and it always ends up being a couple hours.

My hubby can fall asleep instantly. It's annoying because I sometimes have to rewind a show because he missed something! I used to be a horrible napper, until I had LASIK surgery. It's crazy, but when I had to worry about taking off my glasses or taking out my contacts, I couldn't fall asleep as fast (and if I did nod off and then wake up to realize my glasses were on or contacts were in, it took me forever to get to sleep again once I fixed the problem). I don't have as many opportunities to nap as I would like, but I generally fall asleep well for naps.

YES! I tried to do it when my twins were little, but they were 40 minute nappers...I swear there was some secret button that woke them up the second my head hit the couch pillow! Once they went to 2 naps (7ish months?) I started napping. Now, I LOVE my 30 minute power nap. I do it every day, embarrassing but true

Yes, I usually aim to nap when DS does at the weekends. Sometimes DW also naps, sometimes she regards this as the ideal time for her to do things she wants to do while "her boys" are asleep.

Ugh, I wish! The newborn phase was hard bc I couldn't nap! My daughter has been horrible with naps too, and I guess she comes by it honestly!

I love naps but I don't really take them EXCEPT when I'm pregnant. I took so many naps my first trimester and even now I sometimes just fall asleep on the couch for a few minutes on the weekend

I only napped in the first trimester because I couldn't function but I hate naps lol

i am a HUGE napper, it's a big joke among our families/friends. i seriously could have 3 naps a day. i literally have one every sat/sun if i can. i've been a bit better lately because i found out i had super low b12 so i've been taking supplements and don't require as much sleep. even just lying in bed watching netflix on the weekend feels sooooo luxurious to me. sigh. i want to be in bed.

Before, DS - not so much because I felt like I could/should be more productive with my free time instead of napping. Now, I'm hoping DS naps so I can nap with him, if possible.

Rarely, but because of time, not because I don't want to. I love to nap!!

not at all- I always just lay there thinking about what I could be doing and then I get mad when I wasted all that time just laying there. My DH is a huge napper though. I swear he sleeps more than our toddler

I love the idea of naps, but I suck at them. I need a good 3 hour window if i'm going to get a little nap in because I lay there for so long and can't shut my mind off long enough to go to sleep. Needless to say, I never get to nap
papaya / 10473 posts
Not at all! I can't turn my brain off quickly enough to get in a short nap, and I wake up from long naps all disoriented and not knowing what day it is.

In college, I napped a lot. Since then, not so much. Some afternoons when LO is napping, I'll nap. I have to be super tired enough to do it. My husband can't nap at all.
