My DH informed me last night that I'm a beer snob (and to an extent a coffee snob, although given the choice between weak, watered down coffee and no coffee I will almost always choose the former). I think I'm just picky!
Are you a snob about anything?

I'm a food snob in that I don't really eat at chain restaurants, and I try to feed my family as much organic stuff as I can. I'm also kind of picky about clothing. I would rather invest in higher quality items and buy less of them than have a ton of cheaper pieces.
ETA I don't judge others on these decisions though! I guess I'm just particular about those things!

@PurplePumps: Yeah, I read snob as "What I like is better than what you like and I look down on you because of it." That's why I told him I'm just picky--I don't care what you're eating or drinking, I just prefer certain things (okay, some things might make me give you a side-eye, but I won't say anything)

not in the "I think less of people who don't subscribe to the same" way but I'm definitely very particular about a lot of stuff. Food, makeup, clothing, shoes, music,..

I'm a snob about literature. If you saw some of the faces or comments I made in response to the book suggestion/what I'm reading threads you guys would think I'm a total biatch! Haha. Sorry. But you'll be happy to know I'm coming around thanks to reading YA novels.

I'm a bakery snob I think, I'm not a fan of supermarket cakes, cookies, squares, ect. I dont like the perservitive taste (and the unpronouncable ingredients!) I bake often and my sister works at a bakery that I love and visit often.

@mrsjazz: Last year we went to Barnes and Noble to buy my niece The Hunger Games trilogy for her birthday (her request) and in the YA section there was a whole long shelf dedicated to Paranormal Romance. Vampires, werewolves, witches...I think I even saw a zombie one...I couldn't stop giggling (and rolling my eyes) at it.

Oh, I'm also snobby about cocktails. I have only about 3-4 in a year, but I hate premade mixers. A Tom Collins with all fresh ingredients is a treat; one with a mixer from a bottle = blech.

I'm kind of snobby about grammar. Not online, but in person. I have to bite my tongue to keep myself from correcting someone saying "I seen" or "we was". I worked with a very smart man in my last job, he really knew his stuff, but his grammar was awful.

Little things: make up, shoes, clothes. Big things: the area I choose to live, our house. I'm sure there's more... I don't mean to come across as snobby, I just want the best for myself.

I'm a pie snob. I only like my mom's pie. I don't like pies made from refrigerated crusts or canned fillings. It has to be from scratch from top to bottom for me to appreciate it, lol.
Also, Chocolate...but not as stingy.

I'm pretty particular about certain things for myself: OJ, bakeries, beauty products, and soap/detergent. I try not to project it onto people though, especially if I'm at someone else's house.

@septemberlove: me too! I have to stop myself from correcting people because I know it can be taken as rude! Similarly, I hate when people say words incorrectly, like "expresso", but I have been known to correct that...especially if I love them, because I don't want people to think they aren't intelligent!
I am also picky about beauty products and clothes, but definitely not snobby because I would never in a million years judge others on those things.

Baked goods! Homemade cake versus cake from a box, cookies from scratch, etc! I would die before I serve a baked good I didn't make all the way myself lol!

Accommodations. I'll sleep in my car before I lay my head on a pillow that may or may not have been laundered since the last person drooled all over it. If a hotel isn't at least on par or a step up from what I experience in my own home, I'm not going to waste my money.

I think I'm selective, not snobby, because for the most part I don't judge other people on what they buy/use/like at all. I'm just selective for myself.
Coffee, for sure. Food to an extent (I won't touch anything with artificial sugars in it with a ten foot pole. Definitely chocolate. If it isn't dark and quality, I just don't want it. Literature, yes (that's one area where you could call me snobby, I'm revolted by what people around me read... lol).

Definitely a beer snob! Some popular American lagers just aren't worth my time.
I can be a coffee snob (I hate the taste of Silver Canyon Coffee with a passion), but my husband is far, far worse than I am. After getting up 4 times during the night with a baby, I'll drink anything remotely coffee related- even instant!

Probably about a lot of things! Lol! But not in a judgement way towards others choices. But I'm particular about things in specific ways. Probably snobby for myself in where to live, how the house looks, etc.

I'm a wine and food snob, but less so these days. I won't judge you for eating certain things, but i will roll my eyes if you say you're a connoisseur and you tell me the best restaurant in the world is the Olive Garden (not that there's anything wrong with the OG!)
These days i've become a bit of a furniture snob too. Matching sofa sets, matching wood tones...meh, no thank you.
