I spent money mostly on coffee and books. I cut way back on the books in recent years, but it's hard to let go of the coffee - especially during the summer! Overall though, I'm definitely more of a saver than a spender.

Saver! I'm a big ole cheapo. lol
DH is the spender so we balance each other out.

I'm good at saving when it's to spend on something specific...!! Like a big party, a home-related purchase, etc. So I guess I'm a spender, and I save to spend...!
Since we have a mortgage all savings pretty much gets funneled into the house. We've only just started contributing to retirement and a savings fund of 6 months of expenses. Everything else goes towards paying down student debt and mortgage.

Saver... like embarrassingly cheap. There is a joke in my office that on our anniversary my husband and I open our bank statements together and talk about how our accounts have grown instead of giving gifts.

I have my accounts set up so I save a specific amount from each check. I enjoy spending my "fun" money.

I know it’s kind of a cop-out to say it; but I’m really a good combination of both. We put money into savings and retirement before we touch it; both of those savings per month are non-negotiable; as is paying all of our bills in full each month. But, I also feel like my money is mine to enjoy so we definitely spend as well and I have no guilt throwing down for what I want!

@yoursilverlining: Yes. I do this also.
I have a set amount that gets put away into savings each month. I also have a category for "spending" and I usually spend it all each month. LOL.

I'm both.
I go through phases.
@blackbird: yes, this!

inbetween?? I save a good chunk of my paycheck. Because of how tight we live, there isn't much room for spending anyway. But I think my personality/who I am is a spender, I've just learned to curb it.

I'm a spender, DH is a saver. I do okay when I have a goal in mind (trip, party, ect.) but I like to save for something not just "in case."

If I only had to choose one, saver.
I think I can manage both saving and spending reasonably well. I save when I need to and I also indulge myself. I like to decorate my life.

Can I be both?
I know when to spend but I know when to save.

Saver for sure. I get awful guilt when I spend, which is a problem.

Hmm, we don't save much but we don't spend much...I guess we just don't have much!

I am a reformed/ improved spender. I can wait for things to go on sale now and am not an impulsive buyer like I was in my twenties.

I go through phases of both! Right now, I'm a spender though and it's making me uncomfortable. I'm still somewhat responsible but there's always what if's that I should probably be thinking of and saving more.

I'm both really. I think I'm more of a saver (we max out retirement funds and set aside savings every month), but then I just spent on a lot of random stuff all the time (like the $700 in clothes, sneakers, duvet cover, and handbag I just bought over the last 3 weeks.... but they were REALLY good deals and I only go through little spending sprees every few months)

Since I met DH I've been converted to a saver. He is a saver. We do spend but never large amounts on impulse (like I did before I met him)

Ditto @PurplePumps:! I just went on a spending spree the last few weeks because I needed to get some new clothes to wear to work (but I hadn't bought anything suitable for work for probably 2-3 years!).
I can be cheap with some things though. There are just some things I don't see the point in spending money on. Like the Container Store. I don't get it!!! I buy the ugly bins from Walmart or Target or Daiso and spend way way way less. I guess I just don't care enough about how the insides of my closets look!

A little of both. I tend to be conservative with my spending, and I prefer to buy things on sale but I'm not really a bargain shopper either. As in I hate yard sales, and I don't coupon. I'd say hubs is more of a spender than I am.
Also, what's the point of working your ass off if you don't get to enjoy the things you spend your money on? Whether that's a new outfit, a trip, or new flooring in your home.
