I don't talk much and I worry that I should be talking more when I'm around my lo!
Do you talk much? Do you try to talk more when you're around your lo?

Constantly. People always remark on how I talk so much and my husband talks so little.
I talk to LO all the time. I basically narrate whatever I'm doing for her. She has found her voice recently and she seems to be following in her mama's footsteps because she talks to herself constnatly now.

Yeah I'm a right chatterbox!! But I'm rubbish at talking to my friend's baby - I just don't know what to say! I'm hoping I'm not so tongue tied with my own - otherwise we will have a really late talker!!

I used to be a HUGE talker. Even while in Kindergarten, I used to get notes written home because I didn't know how to shut up. We had this green/yellow/red card system for behavior monitoring at school, and if you get to red card you missed recess (huge thing in elementary school). Even after missing tons of recess time, I still couldn't stop talking!
Now, I'm a total introvert. My brother is the complete opposite!

I don't talk a whole lot, but I will to DS. I really don't like being around people who talk a lot. I enjoy my quiet.

I'm pretty quiet. I like peaceful evenings, and I'm worried I might delay DD's speech development by not talking to her very much. Luckily her daycare lady is a wonderful chatterbox

No, I'm pretty quiet. I have to make an effort to talk to DS as often as possible.

Yes, I'm a Chatty Cathy for sure Between DH, my, and our daycare provider if she's delayed of speech it is not for the lack of hearing it!

I am. I talk a ton and I narrate everything I'm doing for my son, which means if I suddenly grocery shop alone, I find myself talking in the produce section to no one. I look like a lunatic.

@mediagirl: I have the same fear. I try to talk to him but I run out of things to say really fast. I'm hoping that since he goes to daycare there is more talking around him... I need to get better at this!

I'm not, but DH talks enough for the two of us- so I'm sure we'll be OK when LO arrives!

I talk nearly constantly. If I'm not talking to someone face-to-face, I'm texting or gchatting. I talk to my dog all the time if no one else is home. I have a feeling that when I do have an LO, his/her first words might be to tell me to shut up.

I'm not a talker. I did try to talk more for LO when she was a baby, I would tell her what we were doing. But we also had some quiet time. Now that she's a toddler she doesn't let me have quiet time, she always wants me to talk or sing to her.

Not a talker...DH and DS both are, so I do a ton of listening, though, lol

@IRunForFun: you sound like my SIL. I have a lot of friends who are talkers because they can fill the space for me when I have nothing to say.

Yup, I'm a talker. However, I become a major introvert at night because I'm exhausted from talking all day. haha.

Nope. Not at all. With friends I usually recap my life in a few minutes then sit back and listen to them for hours!
