I'm trying to decide when to sell J's fall/winter gear!
It's not even on my radar yet and I haven't done any fall shopping thus far!

I have bought some stuff from the Gap on sale. She still needs so much though.

Yep! There still isn't much out yet, but I'm only allowing myself to buy stuff for B if he can wear it in the fall.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
I haven't yet but plan on once it goes on sale or any pop up on Classifieds and or local resale groups.
@Mrs. Pen: Fall will be here in our neck of the woods before you know it!

@rahlyrah: There is so much cute summer stuff still but I am resisting. Although last weekend Gap had 40% off sale prices so I stocked up for next summer.

I've been slowly stocking up....but she is going to need more. I need to do some inventory. We definitely need this like long sleeved t shirts, tights, woolens, and leggings in the next size up. I might make a wish list for grandmas.....

Yep, we have almost everything we will need! Including snow boots and suits! Here's hoping my gals don't have major growth spurts

Yes! I bought R a North Face fleece from the Nordstrom anniversary sale and a few pieces for fall from Gap today.

Yep. Ive been picking up things on super clearance since after Christmas. Shes almost set, to be honest, and ive spent very little. We need tights, and shoes still, and probably a snowsuit.

Yep, but mostly because her birthday is coming up, so its an excuse to shop early.
honeydew / 7916 posts
Yes but trying not to go past fall since I can't really anticipate what size he'll be wearing or what kinds of things he'll wear in winter.
watermelon / 14467 posts
Not yet. I have no idea what size she'll be in then and it's just too hot to think about it right now. i will probably pick up some more pairs of my favorite jeggings for her in the next couple of sizes soon.

No, I hate shopping so I always do everything last minute!
pomegranate / 3779 posts
Yep, like @lawbee11: I've been buying stuff for fall and next summer.
honeydew / 7230 posts
I've been getting basic fall/winter staples in the next couple sizes when I see a great sale. I'm not sure when they'll move into 6 and 9 month stuff, but the winter was so long last year that I'm assuming they will need long sleeves for a long time!
@Mrs. Pen: Are you selling on HB classifieds? If you have anything from J's first year I might be interested!
nectarine / 2771 posts
Nope, but I've been keeping my eyes on the classifieds! I plan to officially start in the next couple of weeks, though.

Just a few pairs of leggings. She doesn't have a ton of fall stuff, most of our shower gifts were summer-y and we didn't want to buy fall stuff if we didn't know her size, so we have quite a bit to buy!

I raided the post holiday sales for DD#1, but need a few more REALLY warm things like a parka for her now that we are moving back to the US. I was waiting on sizes for DD#2 to be born to guess what size to buy her. Now that she's here I'm looking for a puffer vest and a warm coat in 0-3 m or possibly 3-6 m (do they even make those?). Hoping to catch a good sale on these - I LOVE Gap's toddler parkas but they are kind of pricey for one season of wear.
My poor girls aren't going to know what hit them their first New Yirk winter - they were born in a subtropical climate where we think 60 is cold!

@PinkElephant: oh no! Check 6pm.com regularly. They've got great prices for brands like North face, Columbia etc.
grapefruit / 4584 posts
@locavore_mama: thanks! I need to find out about all these deal sites I've missed out on while out if the states. I'd love to get a little North Face to match the Denali fleece I bought my older one last year.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@PinkElephant: there's a few infant Denali fleece right now. I think it was $31.99?
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
Nope, not yet, because I am not sure what size we will need for bottoms.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@PinkElephant: LOL well if you're going to buy it any way might as well buy it when there's a good price!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@loveisstrange: I waited last year to get a snowsuit on Black Friday and I got one from Columbia for $30 that was the coat and snow pants separates. I will probably do that again!
@twodoghouse: I will! I have a Carter's 12 month snowsuit that was never worn, as well as 6-12m pants/tops for winter.

Not yet. DD is a big girl and right now is not even two but is wearing size 3T, not sure if she is going to grow out of 3T so I'm waiting.

We have some stuff that was gifted at his one year for this fall. And some of his pants/jeans that were still too big last season might be just right this year. But, we'll probably have to stock up some more basics, etc. Haven't bought ahead for clothing in a while.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Some shoes, and I have a cart full on H&M but haven't bitten the bullet yet!
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
Not yet! We probably need some new pajamas for LO1.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
Where are you guys finding fall stuff??? I would like to starting stocking DD's wardrobe for fall, especially with the big Gap and ON sale on now, but I am having a hard time finding stuff!
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
Yes! I did some shopping at our local consignment sale this weekend. She is all set for winter, I just need one more thing - a good fleece for daycare.
