DH and I are both extremely close (physically and relationshipwise) to our parents. We're/They're lucky that we didn't move out of state and have them near us as well. DH and I talk about how we hope to be as close to our kid(s), but realize that they likely won't live in MI in the future (since a lot of kids move out of state after college).

Yes, very close to both sets.
We see the in-laws about 4x a week and my family at least 2x a week. We talk often and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with them. I call my mom and MIL and vent to them a lot -- i can tell them everything. -
No, I'm not close to my mom at all. My dad and I are close-ish, but I only see him 3-4x a year. We see my ILs 3-4x times a year as well, and DH gets along pretty well with them. Not gonna lie, I'm very envious of those who are close with their parents.
I really hope there is a different relationship dynamic between my kids and us when they are grown!

I'm very close to my parents but don't see them nearly enough. I moved ten hours away.
They bought tickets to come visit next weekend and I'm sooooo excited.
We talk at least 3-4 times a week and even though the distance is far DD is very close to them too. -
My mom is sitting next to me right now ;). She helped me clean my house today.

I'm very close with my mother and barely speak to my father and stepmother.

I was always very close to my parents, but something happened last year that has affected our relationship. I am somewhat disappointed in how involved my parents have decided to be as grandparents... they are still involved but sometimes weeks go by without them seeing LO. My mom is retired and lives 20 mins away.
. With my kids I want to be really close and involved, obviously!

I'm extremely close to my mom & stepdad. I have a strained relationship with my bio dad, but we've been working on it the past few years.

I am very close with my parents - we have an awesome relationship. The plan is for them to move to our city within the next year or two, which would be amazing! I miss having them nearby. My SO has a good relationship with his parents, too, but they are definitely not as close.

I'm close to my mom - we text on and off all day and talk on the phone a few times a week. She's my BFF! We live three hours away though
I'm close-ish to my step dad too. Don't talk to him too much unless we see each other in person though.I'm not close to my dad, we text sometimes, and when I'm in town I go over for Sunday brunch to see him and my Gran.
DH is close to his parents (and so am I!), but in typically boy fasion he doesn't talk to them TOOO much.. but probably a text or something every other day, and lately they have been obsessed with facetiming us a few times a week to see DS. They live in our hometown too, so also three hours away
