Are you ever embarrassed of how your LOs act?

Absolutely! Not so much in front of my parents, in-laws and siblings because they are all super understanding. Definitely in front of strangers though. Especially with my 9 year old. He's super shy and it comes of as rude when people speak to him and he won't even make eye contact.

i think it depends on my relationship with the other people around me and how they are reacting. i don't get embarrassed around family even if they said something (my MIL can do this like she forgets what kids are like) and i don't get embarrassed, just mad. one of the only times i remember really being embarrassed was when she threw a tantrum right outside target in the morning as parents were arriving with kids and i couldn't get a handle on her and because it was so visible, i couldn't hide us. i felt like a crazy person!

@MamaBehr: DS will do that to! "Owh, you're hurting me" while I'm holding his hand through a parking lot! Usually he only does it after a tantrum. Even if my grip is gentle...drives me nuts because I'm trying my best to remain calm!! If he wasn't throwing his body in the opposite direction, it wouldn't hurt to hold my hand!

I'm not as embarrassed in public because I think "Luckily, I never have to see these people again" haha

Actually, no! Not that my kids are perfect, but I am generally always around people who I am close with or who have small kids and "get it." I mean, my mom raised 5 children. I definitely don't get embarrassed if my kids act out around her becuase she's probably seen it all! I know my family loves me and my kids unconditionally and don't think twice if my kids cry/whine/do whatever. Same with friends...most of mine have small children and are in the same boat that I am. Solidarity! Definitely not embarrassment.
And as for strangers, I don't care enough about what they think to be embarrassed.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: agree! And glad you get it, because my kids have definitely acted out around you, and you still love us!
