I was pregnant before my LO was 8 months old. I was definitely a little embarrassed when I told my boss and some of my male coworkers....some of them definitely looked like they were going to faint with shock.

YES. It was sooooo weird telling the male partners at work. I know it sounds immature, but I couldn't even say the word "pregnant". That sounded too... personal? I dunno. I said "well, I just wanted to inform you that the reason I've been taking so much time off is not because I'm interviewing (they knew this was sorta jokey, my personality), but because I'm expecting a baby." They took it awesome, hugs, etc. It did feel weird!

even though i've been married 2 1/2 years it was weird telling my dad and will probably be even weirder telling extended family like my uncles (they're the over-protective italian type)

@Chillybear: Same here! I'm convinced my parents think I don't have sex. It's just weird to think/talk about! (Clearly I didn't grow up openly doing so...)

I did feel sort of silly. Not sure why ... Maybe because it didn't feel (or look) super real yet

We didn't tell anyone until we were past the 12 week mark. It felt weird to tell the world because up until that point the pregnancy felt personal and intimate between DH and I. Don't know if that makes sense!

We're still TTC, but I'm already dreading telling our families. I know it will be such a happy time, but I really dislike being the center of attention. Our baby would be the first for both sides of our families, so I know everyone would want to be very involved and have a billion questions. I try to tell myself all the love will be great, but it still makes me uncomfortable. Hopefully, by the time I am pregnant and ready to tell everyone, I'll be so excited that it won't bother me anymore

Not at all. I was nervous to tell work since I had a new boss, male, so I had no clue how he was going to react.
It does feel weird telling people, cause then all know what your DH and you have been up too.

I was a little embarrassed when the first thing out of nearly everyone's mouth was if it was planned.
Absolutely LO was planned and it just made me really self-conscious that people would ask. I wondered if they felt like we weren't ready for kids or something.
