Ultimate laziness here..
I made meatloaf earlier and the little corning ware I used is so nasty looking.
I kinda wanna just throw it away.
HAHA.
I'm not going to though... maybe.

Not usually with actual dishes, but I'm ALWAYS tempted with tupperware/plastic stuff.

Yes! Right now the muffin tin I made the egg cups in is soaking in water and soap. I already soaked, scrubbed, put it in the dishwasher, and soaking again. I just don't want to really really deep scrub it.

@Foodnerd81: Muffin tins are the worst.
I have to admitt that I have done this with cheaper dishes and some 9 x 13 pans. Tupperware too. Part of it is lazy, but part of it is if something goes bad in it I will forever remember that image (and possibly smell) everytime I use it.

my husband did this recently. we made a squash and stuffing casserole and forgot about it in our fridge in the garage. He found it and opted to throw it out. It had been out there a while so I didn't ask any questions

haha I have thought about it many times. However, now, my husband hates when things get left after being used so he always cleans them immediately.

Okay .. I will admit it. I have thrown away quite a few pans and Tupperware lol! I haaatte doing dishes, and if it's not an expensive pan and I'm mad at it, to the trash it goes!

I line pans with foil when I'm baking something messy just so that I won't have to scrub!

Not with my good stuff--even though I hate clean up. I throw away tupperware all the time!

@PinkElephant: ah so smart!
I've thrown out many tupperwares that have sat too long and the contents scare me! lol

Yup. Alot! I'm so lazy. Sometimes I'll just leave them soaking in hot water/soap and my husband will clean it that night. hehe.

I'm pretty good with pots and casserole dishes, but tupperware is totally expendable in this way for me.

If I leave it soaking in the sink long enough, DH will usually take care of it

Surprisingly, I've never had this urge! Lol!

No, why can't you just clean it? I don't get it! Seems too wasteful!

@Andrea: ugh, okay i'll take it out of the trash. HAHAHAHAHA

@chopsuey119: I don't believe you will take it out! Maaaaaybe if your trash is clean, haha!
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@Andrea: trash isn't that bad today! took it out yesterday.

Yesss. I try to put foil inside all my baking ware dishes if I remember before I cook something I know will stick.

I give up. I'm throwing out by 6 year old Target muffin tin. I just can't spend 2 hours scraping egg gunk out. Next time, use pan liners when baking eggs.

Sometimes I leave them soaking for a ridiculously long time....crusty dishes are no fun! In college I used to leave stuff in my mom's Tupperware til it got moldy, then I'd throw it away. She still won't let me borrow dishes.

Holy throwing away! Yall need to get some Pyrex so you can just throw it in the dishwasher I hate plastic tupperware because it retains stink/color and it is slowly been recycled/pitched out of our cabinets.
I have gotten rid of a few grody cookie sheets and have tried to switch over to using parchment paper/foil to keep them happier... I put a Silpat on my Xmas wish list.

No, never had the urge- too expensive! Plus, if I cook, the husband has to clean!
coconut / 8475 posts
I fill the pot with soap and water an then HIDE it in my oven until I feel like dealing with it the next day...by then it's all soaked and super easy to clean;) if not: buh-buy! You go to the trash.
I only ever remember throwing away a white porcelain tray but honestly it had been used waaaayyyy to many times for pasta and red sauce so it was stained...bad.
