@Mrs. Jacks: yeah my doc just asked that I be really vigilant and get the flu shot every year so we never have to find out if I'm allergic to the other one. I had a really bad reaction to Tamiflu where my eyes and tongue swelled up and I had red spots all over my body so I'd definitely rather not risk experiencing that again!

I'll be getting one at work in November probably? That's usually when they offer them. LO will be six months at the very end of Dec, so I'll probably have her get one at her six month appointment, since it will still be the middle of flu season then.

We will all be getting them. I work with kids so I get one free through work every year, and DH works in health care so he gets one too. LO had her 9 mo check up today and they would have given us one then but she had a little bit of a fever so we will go back next week.
Our doc did say that at her age she needs two shots, 1 month apart to have the flu shot be effective, in case anyone else is considering it for their LOs.
