I would totally love one.
Will wait until I'm done BFing #3 and see how bad things look before I decide.

I'm too poor... hahaha. And I'm kinda semi-anti cosmetic surgery, so I'll just be fat, lumpy, and frumpy (poor DH).

I'd rather spend my money on other things. I'll accept my body for what it is when I'm done..even if it's horrid. I don't really like the idea of plastic surgery on my body.

My mom had three and looks amazing, hopefully my body will bounce like hers and I won't need surgery.

@mediagirl: Yeah. The idea of going under freaks me out too.
I guess I have to do things the hard way and work out

i really want lipo on my stomach but i'm just too scared.
i'm definitely going to do some stuff to my face though... not a facelight, but peels, laser resurfacing, possibly some injectables when i hit 40! i think having kids really ages you. my single friends look so much younger than my mom friends!

I never thought I'd even think about it until after I had kids and saw what it really did to my body!! It also helps that one of our closest friends is a surgeon and he just decided he's going into plastics, so I can ask him tons and tons of questions. We'll start with laser treatments for my extensive stretch mark damage and go from there... possibly tummy tuck and breast lift, probably around my late 30s. Maybe as a reward for reaching my goal weight. If I don't reach it there's no point...!!!

I wouldn't be opposed to a breast lift if I felt i needed it...and I am spying a wrinkle down the front of my forehead that is just begging for some Botox ; )

I plan on only having two (as long as we get one of each gender, if not we will try for one more). I hope to be 25 when we have our second, so hopefully I will be young enough that my body will bounce back okay.
If it doesn't, my DH and I have already discussed tummy tuck/breast lift. If it's in the budget, I will totally go for it. My DH says he still wants me to be "arm candy."
I know this sounds shallow, but I don't think I could ever be okay with myself if my body didn't bounce back and I didn't get the surgery. Looking good makes me feel good. I would be sad if my body was ruined at 25.

No, I'm too scared of plastic surgery. My friend's little sister passed away getting a nose job. I know it's rare, but it's not worth it to me to chance it.

I would really like to get one after we're done having kids. From what I"ve heard, no matter how much gym time and healthy eating you put in, sometimes things just don't bounce back. DH supports me in this (I think he does anyway...!)

Like surgery? No, unless something severe happened.
Like a wardrobe makeover on a tv show? Sure.

No way. Dh is very anti plastic surgery. Plus I bounced back figure wise from #1, so if I have another i'll prob be good.

I'm kind of anti plastic surgery, but DH and I have decided that I will get my boobs done. They are too big, and almost 2 completely different sizes, so they really need to be evened out!

Wow, so many people are anti-plastic surgery here. I would definitely consider a tummy tuck and boob lift once we have decided that we are done having kids!

I'm on the fence. DH always says he wants me just like I am, however that is. But, he doesn't know what a woman's body looks like post-baby! Plus, I know the ladies are going to be giant after babies (I'm a D cup already and my mom permanently increased a full cup size), so I'm pretty sure I'm going to want a reduction and lift. And heck, if they're doing that, I might as wellget that tummy tuck!

We'll see how things go after we're all done; but I'm def open to it.
I'm very anti-surgery, but I would consider a tummy tuck and breast lift pending the damage post-children!

@Mrs. Blue: haha that's exactly how I feel! do you know if you can get a lift without a reduction (or an implant placed)? I haven't started asking my surgeon friend these specifics because, well, then we'd be discussing my boobs. Haha. Oh and he's a guy.
I'm actually pretty scared of a tummy tuck and the big scar it would leave, so I might just opt to wear a girdle for the rest of my life. Haha. But I've needed a boob lift since puberty!

I'm not a strong advocate of surgery, but if my post baby body really gets to me, then I'd consider it. I get the chills just thinking about it!

@mrs. wagon: Good question! I have no idea. I'm all talk and no real information. :). I'm not sure if I would really do the tummy tuck or not; it might depend on if I already have c-section scars. And the more likely problem: I'd only do it if I lost allll baby weight plus the extra I'm carrying already. It wouldn't be worth it if not.

Not for the purpose of getting trim and tight again but I have always planned on having a breast reduction once we are done having kids. I wanted to wait so I could breastfeed so I know I'll do it but not for the Mommy Makeover aspect.
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@Mrs. Blue: I totally agree!! If I reach my goal weight (lose all this pregnancy weight, plus at least 20 more lbs) I'm thinking maybe it'll be my reward. And yes, if I have a c-section scar I'd probably just do the tummy tuck since I'll have a scar anyway!
3 years ago I would have said HELL TO THE NO to this survey... now I'm strategizing my surgeries!! Haha. I'm also all talk though... I'd probably only end up getting surgery (other than the laser treatments for the stretch marks) when I'm much older, my kids are a little grown, and I'm richer and bored.

It is set in stone that I will be getting a boob reduction after we are done having kids. I have wanted one for years but decided it would be best to wait, and I plan on having them lift them as well, if I'm going under I might as well have them look nice too! My DH makes fun of me because I look at boobs looking for the size I want!

Nothing that requires anesthesia is in a plan, I guess plans can change though.
The competitive running moms I know all have great bodies so I'll hope that as long as I can keep running fast mile times it won't be necessary.

I won't for two reasons. One: my husband is ani cosmetic surgery and claims he loves my body as it is. Two: because I want to teach my kids how to respect and appreciate their body as it is and I don't feel that I could try to teach them that if I don't follow the same lesson (as hard as it is!).
